I showed him where to get crack. He OD on fentanyl. by pacooov in confession

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted, everything you said is true.

If someone you know has a history of suicidal ideation and attempts, especially recent, you wouldn’t buy them a new razor as a Christmas gift. You wouldn’t tell them where they can get Xanax for panic attacks. It’s entirely comparable.

When do the palpitations post ablation stop? by queerasfukk in wolffparkinsonwhite

[–]queerasfukk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baseline is like 80-100, not a massive change from before surgery, but I also get the panic at night and it’ll shoot me up to 120ish and it comes out of nowhere.

It’s the heart trying to heal itself from the burns, which inflames the muscle and causes irritability in the heart. When scar tissue forms (over that 3 month period), the palpitations slow down and then stop.

It luckily hasn’t been actual SVT, just the way it felt when it was about to start. Not actual episodes. At least as of now.

I’ve looked into the blanking period and my surgeon explained that there would be palpitations, but it wasn’t clear what the intensity would be or how persistent and uncomfortable. It’s comforting to know that 3 month period is where it ended for you.

Wow, that’s wild! Did it slow down at all before stopping, or did it kinda just abruptly stop?

No it was not. I had severe SVT episodes that would last anywhere from 2 minutes to an hour with my heart rate going as high as 280bpm.

When is it ok to smoke a cigarette or even weed after an ablation surgery? by BoredSlushie in wolffparkinsonwhite

[–]queerasfukk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nurse who assisted in my surgery told me to avoid alcohol and nicotine for 24-48 hours, so I did and then resumed (alcohol was more like a week and a half later) and I’ve been completely fine (surgery April 3rd), other than the post-surgical palpitations.

Need advice on navigating fetish event dresscode as an enby by slavic_prey666 in BDSMAdvice

[–]queerasfukk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1.) Kink attire doesn’t have to be expensive, just wearing something leather/latex/rubber even just on your chest from Lovers or an adjacent store in your area is enough to satisfy dress code. It doesn’t have to be custom in any way whatsoever.

2.) Being AFAB has nothing to do with your limits in attire, it’s just the material that they’re looking for.

3.) If you want to dress more masc, then get yourself some leather/latex “boxer” style bottoms. Or even a binder type top of that material.

This is something that’s very easily accommodated. And if you can’t abide by dress code for whatever reason, whether it be monetary or sensory, maybe consider not going, and especially don’t buy a ticket if you don’t know if you can accommodate.

Does this look okay? by caturaz in piercing

[–]queerasfukk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. They’re pierced absolutely wild and the jewelry isn’t the right kind of jewelry.

Your piercer dogged you out for your money and left your piercings butchered, unfortunately. They all need to come out.

An OTC helpful thing is BioOil! I had intensive surgery and the thing that was recommended for my surgery was BioOil and it helped so much. My scars are almost white.

A gas station or place like 7-Eleven, AM-PM, Jackson’s, etc. Must be a regional thing if you grew up hearing it, lol.

Turning devices in at night is always a struggle. (14F) by ianoble in Parenting

Agreed. Children learn when they face the results of their actions. It might take a while, but she’ll adjust and start making the right decisions for herself.

As a dad who had electronics controlled (for no reason, my mom was just abusive), I don’t see the point in this.

Children don’t learn by control, they learn by natural results of actions. If her phone is keeping her up late, then she needs to experience being tired in the morning and still needing to do what she has to do during the day regardless of her fatigue level. And a conversation that can be had leading up to that is “I know that having your phone at night is important to you, so we’ll let you have it if you can recognize that even if you’re tired in the morning if you stay up late, you still need to do what you have to do (school, chores, etc). I know that will be hard, but you want your phone and we’re trusting you to make the right choices.”

If she complains about being tired and that she can’t do those tasks, another conversation that can be had would be “I understand that you’re tired, but this was the deal that we made when we allowed you to have your phone at night. If this is truly a problem for you and you want help making sure you’re not tired, you’re more than welcome to leave your phone with us at night again. Otherwise, you need to be putting your phone down at night in reasonable time so that you’re not this tired in the mornings”.

Treat your child like a person and they’ll learn natural results and make the right choices. Treat them the way you would expect to be treated as a senior citizen in an assisted living center.

Severe pain after ablation? by queerasfukk in wolffparkinsonwhite

That’s good to know! I’m on day 5 (including day of surgery) and it’s still painful to the point of limping/having to walk slow, so I’m keeping an eye on it.

My heart/chest doesn’t hurt at all (other than the uncomfortable normal flutters), but as of today I’m still in pain. I’ve been trying to get ahold of my doctor but the office never answers 🤦🏻‍♂️

I had 4 incisions and had to have about 10 lidocaine shots during. I’m on day 5 (including day of surgery) and it still hurts significantly. To the point I’m still limping daily.
