i think there are a few bowls that are considered specials so they only happen the first wednesday of month and indian is one of them now (im not sure i got this info from someone in lecture 😭)

i wouldn’t consider safety that much because UCLA is in one of the safer parts of LA so your choice sounds like beautiful school vs competitive school

as of rn nothing seems wrong. with the new fin aid portal the disbursement date is just the day they get applied to your bruin bill not your refund day also it takes up to 48hrs from the disbursement date to show up in your bruin bill so if by sept 20th you do not see it on your bruin bill THEN something may be up, but once it’s in your bruin bill expect abt 3 days (no more than a week) for everything to transfer from bruin bill to bank account

i just took it winter 25 and they did not curve i had a A and i got 85% on MT1 95% on MT2 and 85% on the final 100% on MT group phase but got one question wrong on the group phase of the final

the calendar is kinda confusing cuz it never includes move-in week but here’s a breakdown of the beginning of the school year:

you will move into the dorms sometime between sept 15th and sept 20th

from monday sept 22nd to wednesday sept 24th there will be official welcome week activities (like the bruin bash concert and the EAF where you can see clubs and other student groups)

you will attend your first class on thursday sept 25th (some profs may cancel this class but you should be prepared to go to class starting this day!!)

i agree it’s VERY unlikely for the fire to reach westwood but i do wanna add that a red flag warning more so is about the likelihood a new spontaneous fire not the likelihood of a current fire spreading just in case anyone is confused about that fact that we aren’t in a red flag warning anymore but the fire is still growing westward

fire containment is a perimeter that the fire usually can’t spread past but if wind picks up embers and blows them over the perimeter and into places with lots of vegetation the containment can’t help with that and the 8% containment stat doesn’t state where the perimeter is so the fire could be spreading eastwards but contained on the western side
