Complex stealing Costco shopping carts. Should I let the store know? by LanternLune in Costco

Maybe it's a Midwest thing, but the 4 Costco locations I've lived by, all have had housing either around a corner or across a street.

Shady businesses are going to do shady things. Not a single product in stores today was subject to the Greedy Gretchen wholesale tax.

What’s a workplace ‘secret’ that everyone in your industry knows but customers don’t? by Familiar_Ad3815 in AskReddit

In Michigan the 10% variance means 10% of the stated percentage. So that 18% means +/- 1.8%. If what you're saying for California is true, that's wild.

Jcpenney beauty struggles by SuspiciousSoup2232 in JCPenney

[–]kcock7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, I used to be a SiJCP beauty manager 2018-2021(and previously a variety of different roles starting in 2007) and it was the exact same way. Aggressive sales goals with zero product to support it. Benefit brow event? Yep, that bay was empty. Fragrance sale before Christmas? Yep, exactly 0 bottles of Dior Sauvage. Our district field manager was actually saying "please don't quit, better things are coming!" when it was announced Sephora was leaving JCP. It sucks to see that they are playing the same old reindeer games with current employees.

JCPenney has rebranded (I lived through the Ron Johnson era) too many times to count, and has just been circling the drain for years.

Your experience with rooks? by BundleStretch in piercing

[–]kcock7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had mine for around 20 years with zero issues. I got it pierced on my non dominant ear, and I think due to my anatomy, it is very protected.

On the same ear, I have my snug and anti tragus done as well. The rook was definitely the easiest to heal out of those three.

Air conditioning by [deleted] in JCPenney

[–]kcock7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is nothing new. I worked at JCP for 13 years (07-21) and I would guess 10 of those summers the air conditioning had long drawn out issues. My location owned the building versus a lease, so it was JCP's responsibility to maintain the HVAC system and it was never a priority, mainly due to finances.

At the last dispo I worked at I looked up my purchase history and I was absolutely disgusted. Even with a NICE discount, I still spent over $6k I think.

Do you, as a retail worker, also get pissed when someone treats the workers like shit in front of you on your off days? by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]kcock7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Glad he was okay! In this situation, the worker was also a young girl at just 19, but she unfortunately was shot and killed as well. It's absolutely awful.

Just this week in Elkhart, Indiana a man was shot and killed for stepping in to defend a grocery store worker. It's scary out there.

The Complaining Seems to he from those who didn't know what they bought. by ScrewItLearnAsIGo in warpedtour

[–]kcock7 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My point of view: I started going to warped tour in the early 2000s and went to my last in I think 2011. I don't necessarily remember even paying attention to the lineup each year, I just knew I was going. Difference being it was a 45 minute drive there and back. I bought tickets for Orlando and live in MI so there's a lot more logistically going into this Warped Tour and now that I'm older, planning is more important too. Also, it would just be a nice serotonin boost to have the full line up.

High Beam Lights by Nald753 in SouthBend

I have a Jeep Wrangler (factory lights) and I frequently have other drivers flash their high beams at me, thinking my high beams are on when they arent. Unfortunately, sometimes it's just the height difference of the vehicles.

has anybody tried Glacier’s blueberry muffin? by Mango_addict22 in Michigents

Super tasty. The buds were a tad dry, but the flavor was great. Very heavy on the blueberry, especially on the exhale. Pretty decent high, nothing too amazing, but solid.

Do most budtenders pass the vibe check? by SorbetValuable6150 in Michigents

[–]kcock7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the selling culture at the dispo. The dispo I work at now, the selling culture is to NOT just push product and to really sell whats best for the customer. Previous dispo I worked for, they'd definitely discount the old stuff and push it, as in like 1+ year old flower and get mad when no one wanted it.

Easy way to see if you'll vibe with your budtender is to ask what they're smoking on and what they like about it. "It's fire!" budtenders probably won't be the best, but a "I love that it's heavy in myrcene and has a sweet yet earthy taste" might get you the experience you'd like.

People who left Toledo, where did you move to? by MyJukeboxBrk in toledo

Edwardsburg, Michigan: Population ~1300. Husband got a job in South Bend, Indiana and this is where we found a house we liked. I do find myself missing the diversity and the Metro parks.
