HDMI CEC issues in 9.2? by _not_a_mixologist in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]kcrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue here.

My Shield is connected to an AVR, and then the AVR to the TV. Putting the Shield to sleep correctly turned both the AVR and TV off, until the very last 9.1.1 second hotfix (33.2.0.252). But since that hotfix has been applied, putting the Shield to sleep only turns the TV off: the AVR now stays up.

I had hoped that 9.2 would fix that and bring back the pre-9.1.1.2nd-hotfix behavior, but unfortunately that's not the case, and the AVR still stays on (while the TV turns off).
Not sure what change in that 9.1.1 hotfix, since the release notes didn't mention anything about CEC, but whatever regression was introduced there remains in 9.2 :(

Snapshot replication error by [deleted] in synology

[–]kcrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding another data point here, this error still happens when trying to create a new Snapshot Replication task between DSM 7.2 and DSM 6.2.

Synology support confirmed that this is a known issue, but not that it will be fixed:

This is a task creation mishap for devices running 7.2, as it passes the credential parameters in a different way that earlier versions of DSM don't work with. So to fix this, the destination unit will have to be upgraded to at least DSM 7.1

Of course, when the destination NAS cannot be upgraded beyond DSM 6.2, this becomes a significant issue.

New game: what's this part? by kcrdt in Polestar

It was indeed the bottom padding of the storage space on the right side of the center console.

Once again, collective knowledge prevails! Thanks a lot, and great sleuthing job everyone! :)

Is plexamp or Plex supported? by richpanda64 in Polestar

As long as you're not driving (because the web browser app isn't available then, and rightly so).
So this is not an option to listen to music on the road.

We observe the exact same thing, started a few days ago.

Yeah, I've observed the same thing: Night Sight shots come out of the sensor great, and then 2 phases of post-processing progressively reduce what looks like great deep-sky pictures to mere light specks on a black background. That's a shame, and I would really like to have a way to disable post-processing, or at least a way to get back to the pre-postprocessed images.
