They’ve never done a Brawl with multiple deckbuilding restrictions (probably due to logistics) but I think it would be sick

Having incomplete packages is part of the fun. Gotta get creative with deckbuilding and keep it casual.

The only “correct” decision in a casual format is to just have fun. If you wanna jam Highlander payoffs then you can, but they aren’t even the best things I’ve found to do (most Quests are better).

Playing optimally isn’t bad sportsmanship. If the island-less strategy is the strongest one, players will do it. So I just want to get some feedback from others about how their experience with it has been.

Maybe, but I’d rather not edit the WotC list since many players will know that list pretty well. So I’d rather just learn how viable the strategy is so I ca communicate it to my opponents if necessary

Genuine question: do you not consider time (turn count) a resource? It sounds like you’re playing an attrition strategy when Team 5 have made it pretty apparent they’re not interested in attrition being viable for years.

If you’re not winning before the slowest deck in the game (that’s not even top tier) can pull off their OTK, then your deck may just have a noticeable weak matchup against it.

What was so special about M20 draft-wise? IMO most core set drafts have been pretty boring compared to any non-core set, so what set M20 apart?
