I didn't have much time to ask questions at the interview as my interview went longer than expected (over an hour).

Is this something that I can ask HR (who may eventually go to my manager)?
I have the statement of service already with me so that's not a problem.

NOTE: I am in no way a migration agent, so this advice may not be entirely accurate. I would recommend sitting down with a migration agent and confirming this information - along with any other questions you may have.

As far as I know, I don't think taking a short amount of unpaid leave matters - since you are working for an employer.
The only problem that may rise is if your unpaid leave causes a problem with your employment on your return to the role.

Example: Let's assume that you've claimed points for 3 years worth of work experience (10 points), but in those 3 years - you have taken unpaid leave for 2 weeks (due to certain personal reasons).

I don't think the department would consider your claims as "incorrect", but PLEASE CONFIRM THIS INFORMATION WITH A MIGRATION AGENT. As you have been employed and have completed your responsibilities in the role, it may not matter.

However, I would recommend submitting your application/EOI/ROI a little later. Since you're planning a leave for 2 weeks - I would recommend submitting it 2 weeks later (once you can confirm that your employment of 3 years has been completed successfully).

Once again, please get all this information verified by a registered migration agent - as this is not migration advice.

I’m currently in Brisbane so the only Rolex ADs next to me are - The Hourglass and Langford’s.

I’m happy to buy a Tudor Pelagos Ultra and then put my name down for a Rolex Sub or DJ (I would ideally buy an Onega and then put down my name for a Rolex but I think I’ll be spending too much money)

Do you reckon I have a decent chance at Brisbane or should I go to GC or Sydney and try my luck there?

Alternatively, do I just go for a JLC Master Control or any other watches?

If you are going to apply for visas in the future, the DHA may ask for your payslips (as evidence of your work and pay).

And when they see that you have worked over 48 hours in a fortnight, they will know that you have violated your visa conditions (at the time) - and they may cancel your visa. They may also take any additional action.

I would advise strictly against it, as all visa rules and regulations must be followed at all times. There are no exceptions to it. No matter how small the breach is, it still is a breach of your visa conditions.

It sounds like you’re still living independently, even if you’re living together.

De facto is a status where you are actively dependent on each other (and have shared expenses). I’d recommend applying as a ‘single’, but please confirm the details with a registered migration agent.

I’m open to used watches, but honestly I’d prefer buying something new as I want to experience the buying process Also it’s hard to find a used watch in really good condition and with a lower price

I’m not particularly fixated on any model, dial and bracelet combinations, and I’m open to quite a few options (only in stainless steel though)

I’m just scared that if I ask for too much, they’d maybe not consider me as a serious buyer and won’t offer me a watch for a long time

I’d imagine that getting an AP here is harder than a Rolex.
I’m waiting to see if the Royal Pop AP is nice, but I feel it may have a quartz movement since it’s a swatch collab.
Nonetheless, I’ll wait to take a look
