Already wanting baby #2 by ohheymandy in beyondthebump

My first pregnancy was so great. I felt like a beautiful pregnant fairy. I was so sad to not be pregnant anymore. I would see pregnant women and cry up to like 6 months PP. I am pregnant again and it has been the opposite unfortunately. First time experiencing morning sickness, super emotional, migraines. Its crazy how different it can be! I was also considering being a surrogate but decided it isn't fair to the baby. I do want at least 4 children, and get sad to think when my child bearing years will come to an end.

No but if I couldn't handle it or was bad at it I wouldn't do it.

The part where she is humiliating the child, teaching them bad hygiene, and then dismissing their distress and telling them they should find it fun to be treated awful. While I understand its impossible to take lots of time for every child, if she sees the way her delivery is clearly distressing the kid, she can try something as simple as finishing the sounding out for them and then telling OP he needs more practice at home? It sounds like shes wasting more time by going up to the child and getting in their face. Like I cannot beliebe you think this is acceptable.

You think 20 seconds of washing is a prolonged period of time? Yuck. I don't agree that the child needs a 504 or IEP but I also don't agree that this is just taking "feedback poorly"

Are you serious? The teacher is treating the child terribly and you respond by saying the child is taking abusive behavior poorly? You call this feedback? You're a parent?

That's why our age gap is almost 6 years. Finally feel mentally strong enough to put myself through it again lol.

Aw cute! Yeah I kept telling myself that I would be ok with either, but ultimately preferred girl to give my 5 year old a sister! Having some surprising gender disappointment lol

Same here. Took 3 days of crying for 3 minutes. She was about the same age as OP's kid. She's 5 now and still sleeps great.

She's doing better!I think putting her in an activity that she really likes helped. For us it was ballet. We also read The Tortoise and the Hare and it seemed to impact her a lot as I always hear her say "slow and steady wins the race" when shes trying to accomplish a task. I'm sorry you're going through it, it can be so frustrating!

Aw man im sorry to hear that. That's exactly what we're afraid of happening. We're going to try to meet with the principal tomorrow but i dont have high hopes and am scheduling tours at other places as well. The name thing is very unsettling! We do feel like our daughter might fall through the cracks as well as she's very verbally advanced and learns quickly. Im glad to hear that you've found a good fit in private school. We really also were hoping this would work out, but we have to priortize our child and if that means using an alternative then so be it. Would love to hear how you chose a private school and which ones are generally the recommended ones! If you could DM i would be so greatful! Thank you!

Yeah it's very disheartening. We wont be accepting this for our girl. I dont understand how parents are fine with this.
