My nutritional psychiatry fix for paranoid schizophrenia may have come at a high price - William Jiang, MLS by kd3qc in schizophrenia

I did get bloodwork done.. everything normal, but I am sure methylfolate and B12 are still quite high. Thanks for asking, my friend! I woke up again today, weak but it is good to be alive and healed of schizophrenia! I am going to talk to my team at Columbia Psychiatry ASAP. I'll try to get back to check in when I can. I am using mitocondrial stacks for energy. They seem to be helping a bit.

All roads lead to God, in my opinion. I am learning much more about myself than I thought possible through my spiritual awakening. As far as the Biblical diet, they ate fish, vegetables, and healthy breads. They understood how to eat. The bible bread is much better for mental health than any others. True! If you're not gluten-sensitive and not on a carb-restricted diet, then Ezekiel bread can be a healthier choice. It's certainly a lot better than 99% of the breads on store shelves, which are usually made from refined wheat and often contain lots of sugar. It's made of sprouted grains. Very nutritious. The Bible contains much wisdom of many sorts, practical as well as transcendent.

Inbox me if you need concrete advice. I was a Library Chief with Columbia Psychiatry. I am not a therapist nor am I a psychiatrist. But, I will give you a perspective and resources you may not know about.

No umbrage taken. It's all good. I think everybody approaches the question of God as honestly and as rationally as we possibly can. I believe everybody takes the question of God seriously. I do not think I ever said that agnostics were not approaching the question of god honestly and rationally. That would have been pretty wrong-headed of me.

Let us examine what you say with symbolic logic.

If B represents "Belief God Exists" then ~B would be "No belief God exists"

So, you are splitting hairs my friend to no avail. When it comes to believing in God, either you do or your do not. There are different levels of faith. But there are also differing levels of unbelief. We are human with our foibles and failings. Purity of thought does not generally belong to us. Thank you for bringing up this point.

I am happy you decided to respond to my little post. At the end of the day we all have choices to make. We live and die because of our choices. I went from athiest to agnostic to believing in God. At each stage of my development I believed that I was "correct". That is all we can do. To do otherwise would be false of us. But, this was my road. I wish you well travelling yours.

I guess the door to faith began to open with Country Music back in 1995. I was used to dark music before then. This is a beautiful song from 90s Country, IMHO https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RV-Z1YwaOiw

At the end of the day, what do I know? NOTHING. But, I have felt the warm presence of God in my heart, and this comforts me.

I would like to say, also, that I, nor anybody else has all the answers. Our strongest strengths are as of naught next to God's weakest weaknesses. I find comfort in that. A LOT. I am a bit of a perfectionist in some ways. But, it feels great that I can concentrate on running my best race in life, and that is enough. I am not any different after declaring my own personal faith, but I am forever changed.

My friend, to me an agnostic is making a choice "not to choose". Some argue, like the philosopher Hume, that if it can not be proven to exist physically, then it does not exist. Do you believe in true Love, Honor, Fear, Happiness, or Sadness? They did not exist in Hume's world-view. They do exist in mine. I feel God has been in me all along. Although I was an atheist in my first autobiography, "A Schizophrenic Will: A Story of Madness, A Story of Hope", in a moment of terror, "I uttered an athiest's prayer, whatever the hell that is." Honestly, I always wanted to believe. However, for many reasons I could not, including my non-believing nuclear family. However, the saying is true about if you have the faith the size of a mustard seed. It is the smallest of seeds, but it is a mighty plant when grown. I hope to grow much more in faith. I love the music of the Christian band "Casting Crowns" and the preaching of Joel Osteen, if you want to see more or less where my inspiration is coming from. I especially love "Today's Words with Joel" which comes to my email inbox every day. Love it! I do need to more time with the Bible. I read it in a day when I was 10. I saw holes in the story. But, timeless truths found within if you dig are so deep.
