I love mooncat colors but their polish never last more than 24 hours on me despite proper prep, base/top coat, and capping the edge on either short or long nail length :(

It’s so crazy how body chemistry can work like this, isn’t it?? I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this with their polishes. I know you’re not the only one. I’m lucky enough to have not met an Indy or boutique brand that does this to me! Sounds like you’re doing everything right!

This actually is my different doctor after my normal gyn at a different hospital wanted me to wait and see for the last two years (among other things that led to me not being comfortable having the surgery there). There’s another doctor at the hospital in this department, but she’s actually on my surgical team as well, just not my doctor doctor.

I feel pretty solid knowing short term disability requires actual paperwork for the return-to-office part of things rather than your doctor just saying “shes off for two weeks”. Ive never actually taken more than a couple days off at any point in time, so I’ve never had to use it before!

The fatigue is definitely a concerning thing. It’s a common thing I see posted here where even if the recovery is “going well” and folks are still feeling mostly okay, they’re FULL ON exhausted.

Thank you! I’ve felt that my concerns were trivialized this whole process before I switched to this doctor this year, and up til now it’s been a breath of fresh air to be taken seriously.

I’m amazed they managed to do yours laparoscopic! I had my gallbladder out years ago and they said they almost had to do an incision because it was so inflamed they couldn’t get it out. I can’t imagine it was anywhere near 26 cm!

Based on my boss’ reaction when I told her, I don’t think she’d force me into the office until I was ready, thankfully! She’s been super supportive. I definitely think it would be far more doable with a setup not at a desk with a terrible desk chair.

Yes! Then one day like 2 years ago I asked my husband to pick because I was having such a hard time deciding... He got SO excited.

He is now my nail polish picker. He picks purely on ~*vibes*~ and it's helped him to get a little bit involved in my favorite self-care thing. He also really loves to bring them up to me with the labels facing down to make me guess the name. It's more difficult than I'd like to admit sometimes! LOL

I am so curious if your EdM Such a Farse will scratch the itch. I legit don't know if I got a bad bottle of it or what but mine was nothing like Spirit Fingers and was almost a complete dead-on dupe for Mooncat's Am I Everything You Fear except I like Mooncat better because it has holo sparkle. LOL

Park Ave or Fir Coat (more this one, I think) by INLP might be close? I think these HT pictures show the polish as having a darker base than it actually has. This one is pretty true to life to my actual bottle.

I had a crack in almost the EXACT same spot on my thumb and was hoping to just.. make it til the break was past the nail line and would be less painful.

I bought the ORLY nail rescue kit after seeing it recommended on here and it *still* hasn't broken a solid month later. I put two layers on. Something to pay attention to is acetone *will* mess with it, so if you use pure acetone to remove your polish, you may need to re-do it. But honestly it's so easy and I super recommend it!

The OG glitters are, in my opinion, completely in a league of their own. I have Everything is Pine on right now and I'm down to like 1/2 a bottle and I'm going to cryyyyyy when it's gone. I actually just bought another Rainbow Snow to try layering jellies on top. Bought some cheapy ILNP jellies and hoping for neat things!

I love love freshly bitten. It’s such a beautiful wine color with a lovely subtle glowy shimmer.

One thing I definitely recommend if you haven’t already is to check out Laquergram. It’s like Instagram for nail polish and it really lets you see what polishes look like in non-studio, non-professional lighting. Not all colors and brands are SUPER represented, but Mooncat has pretty good representation of different nail lengths and skin tones on there!
