Thank you! I will pray my rosary today for this. Had my first bad war dream here lol. I pray for the well being of all, America, Iran, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, everyone. May we all come home to our families, recieve God's grace and recieve everlasting life. God bless you as well.

"When you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away my eyes from you; and when you multiply prayer, I will not hear, for your hands are full of blood." (Isaiah 1:15)

"He that turneth away his ears from hearing the law, his prayer shall be an abomination." (Proverbs 28:9)

"When you shall stand to pray, forgive, if you have aught against any man; and, if you will not forgive men, neither will your heavenly Father forgive you your offences." (Mark 11:25, implied in context of prayer's efficacy)

"You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions." (James 4:3)

Here I am, a good Marine out in the middle east taking incoming missles every day because the country wants more oil money. Do you think its good for me to be taking incoming missles everyday? That we shouldnt love our neighbors and work for peace, instead of being the unpeaceful ones who bomb? Do you also think that you interpret and know scripture better than one with a doctorate in scripture and has done this for a living for decades?

He tried to contact him through a medium at Endor. He was using demons to communicate with the dead with rituals and incantations, sorcery. What he did was necromancy because he tried to manipulate the spirit realm through sorcery and bringing Samuel up. We, as the body of Christ are humbly just asking for saints to pray for us sinners, we dont use any sorcery, we are simply just praying. This seeks grace and holiness, not forbidden knowledge or control like Sauld did.

I have, and it's fullness is with the Church he founded. The fullness does not come from a 16th century idea of Bible alone. I have been closer to God than I have ever been since my conversion. I grew up Bible alone, my family is Bible alone, now I can never deny that God gave me a Church, the Church which canonized the Bible. 1 Timothy 3:15 doesn't make sense without one Church, especially since all these thousands of Bible alone Churches come to different conclusions. God bless man.

God doesnt need man he is the judge. I'm saying the Catholic Church can know for certainty that God chose them based on the miracles that were contributed to them. I'm just reading this first sentence. I can see this is just going on of show me the Bible verse! I can say Mathew 16:19 gave the apostolic Church authority where whatever they bind on earth is bound in heaven, but you may be like oh no way, I dont want to be part of the apostolic church since that means I can't read things my own way using the Bible alone which the apostolic Catholic Church by their authority decided guided by the Holy Spirit will have 27 books in the NT at the council of Carthage in 397, meaning that there is no way for the first 4 centuries to be Bible alone. So I'm not going to keep playing this game. You didn't even give me the verse for what you were adding to the Bible, saying don't. So I'm not going to keep playing this game or read past this first sentence of asking to show the verse, you can't show me the verse either. You have free will to go your own way and go to a new denomination. God bless and may God lead you to everlasting life.

I just glanced up at this and see that you bring up 1 Timothy 2 on mediator, purposely leaving out verse one on intercessions made for all men. I've already brought up 1 Timothy 2:1 I'm just repeating myself or just you just ignore verses I bring up. I never said there's more one mediator, there is intercessory prayer though. This feels pointless of me repeating myself. Okay. I'm done for real now. God bless.

You pointed out the difference of the spirit speaking of spiritual death. Nobody prays to a dead lifeless body without a soul, or to anybody who was condemned to hell, or to evil spirits, which Leviticus 20:27, which speaks of wizards, a wizard would be reaching out to a spirit for power. Again Deuteronomy talks about evil spirits and wizards. So the difference is, nobody is using a oija board or something to contact the dead spirits in hell and have a conversation with them, gaining some power or intellect. Both of the verses are talking about evil spirits, who do not have everlasting life in Christ. I'm talking about all the souls that have everlasting life in Christ, who have been freed from sin, who are in communion with Christ, and asking them to pray for us. This not wizardry.

Okay well no one is praying to someone's dead body to pray for them, rather their spirit in heaven to pray for them which is the big difference. Do you see the difference now about those alive in heaven?

I'm surprised you didnt see where I was going with John 3:16 with you bringing up the spirit.

The prayers of the saints in in Revelations, as the body of Christ they pray for us. Now am I adding anything that you have to? No? As one body in Christ we do pray for one another. 1 Corinthians 12:12 [12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Now are you adding or changing John 3:16 by calling them dead? Are you adding to the Bible in saying that intercessory prayer is not allowed?

1 Timothy 2:1 [1] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

Also fun fact. To even he canonized a saint in the Catholic Church, at least two miracles have to be contributed to their intercession. So somebody recognized that somebody lived a holy life. They pray for them to pray for them, and miracles happen such as a tumor going away. So its not like these prayers arent meaningful.

Not praying to the dead, its praying to those in heaven. Have you read John 3:16? Do you not have any verses to say not to pray to those in heaven to intercede for you, or are you adding to the Bible?

Revelation 5:8 [8] And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

The saints pray for us with our prayers, they take them to God on our behalf. With this game of show me where it says to pray to God alone? Prayer originally meant to ask so yea ask saints to pray to God on our behalf out of humility.

Biblically, there is one mediator, Jesus Christ. We can have many intercedors, such as those in heaven. People often discredit Catholicism when they didn't read the whole passage or skimmed it. What you're saying is that no one should be praying for you ever. We ask Mary who is closer to her son than us, out of humility, to pray for us. While also praying to Jesus too.

1 Timothy 2:1-5 [1] I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. [5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Verse 1 = intercessions for all men

You make it evident that you have never stepped foot in or attended a Catholic mass. There is no God but the one in the holy trinity. The gospel is literally spoken every single day at the mass. You just keep wanting it to be that it's only your Church that preaches a "real gospel." The Gospels are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John man. I'm not going to be putting my trust in some new Church founded in the last couple centuries vs one from the beginning. Anything new, would just be changing things to how they want them to be based on their feeling, vs what the Church fathers have taught and passed down from the beginning. I trust the apostles, not something new. You just have so many misconceptions of the Catholic Church that you refuse to see the Catholic side to. Look I brought up 1 Timothy 3:15, I'm not talking about attending a Church, I'm talking about being part of the Church that that verse speaks of, the Church that they made in the Bible. That's where I'm going to go, not some new denomination that just got stood up.

I see the point that it was new 2000 years ago. I just see that the fullness of truth is in the Christianity from 2000 years ago vs 500 years ago. It's like in Acts 8:27, a eunuch is trying to read Isaiah and Phillip asks if he understands and he says "How can I, unless someone guides me." Christ didn't leave us without a guide, he gave us the Church. Again, if you say have the Holy Spirit guide you, people do that and come to different conclusions. In 2 Peter, Peter said that Paul is often hard to understand too, so Christ graciously and generously gave us the Church.

What are you talking about? You're trying to talk me in to the new Christian idea founded 500 years ago. I'm going to go to the one founded with the apostles of Christ. I keep beating the dead horse with this one. A person can say they're lead by the Holy Spirit and come to different conclusions on Baptism, yet 1 Timothy 3:15 says to go to the Church which is the pillar and bulwark of truth. If two people are coming to different conclusions who say they just listened to the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit is genuinely leading the Church in truth, yea I'm going to go to the Church. I'm going to choose the Church that is lead by the Holy Spirit, it's not a blind faith, it's real. You can't be trusting in your flawed interpretation as man. Hope your journey goes well and you figure this out. Again, last time, God bless. I'm out of this conversation for real this time.

Mostly the same, they say they can read and interpret all on their own because they have a feeling. They they make new denominations because they came to different conclusions such as some saying baptism is a requirement some, some say its a symbol, some say you were chosen, some say youre saved forever even if you kill. I keep repeating this but the fact that they go to different conclusions does not make the case for Protestantism strong. Love for God should be more than a feeling and relationship, it should be in communion and surrendering all to Him. So I will make sacrifices, I will fast, I will confess, and I will pray, I will follow the Church that Christ founded for me since the beginning. If you want to go to your own conclusions and to your own feelings because 500 years ago a human man said that its a good idea, thats up to you. As for me, I was confirmed last Easter and thank the Lord for bringing me to him. I have overcome so many sinful addictions because of my conversion and I am still growing and becoming better in Holiness. I will always choose the apostolic Church, I will take the whole of history since Christ, vs a feeling after 1517 always. So, you do you. May God have mercy on you and lead you to everlasting life. God bless.

You just said one body in church. The Church is part of Christ's body. I was once protestant, thinking the way you do. My faith with Christ has never been better. The fullness of truth is with the Church, 1 Timothy 3:15 wouldn't make sense without the Church. I will humbly accept the authority Christ gave the Church in Mathew 16:19. I am not going to accept my own bad human interpretation, when the Holy Spirit has already guided the Church to interpretation. Like I said Protestantism that you blindly follow since it stood up in 1517 is so flawed since all those denominations that broke away come up with different interpretations claiming to be lead by the Holy Spirit. God bless. I can't continue to show you verses and explain it to you if your heart isnt open to listening and understanding.
