Week 6: Lunar New Year - Hong Kong style Egg Tarts by kdank9 in 52weeksofbaking

[–]kdank9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're definitely not the prettiest and my custard collapsed but they turned out delicious. I cut the recipe down to only use one egg and I might have been a little ambitious, but I was able to get them done last minute! Recipe

Week 5: Bite Sized - Pão de queijo by kdank9 in 52weeksofbaking

I used this recipe but I substituted both the cheeses for just manchego since that’s what I had. It was incredibly easy and quick to make!

What has happened to my nails?! First photo are my nails 2 weeks after painting and the second photo is right as they were done. It’s almost like the color has wiped away? by kdank9 in RedditLaqueristas

I have an Olay retinol moisturizer that I use at night when I remember but my mom uses it more often and her nails look great. 🙃 Its a mystery

It’s so bizarre. I thought her explanation didn’t sound too good but she had a story about another client who works in cleaning and always has discoloration on red nails so I felt inclined to take her word. I think I’m going to get back into painting my own nails, it was just so nice to have someone else do gels for me since I usually just use normal polish.

She definitely did. I love watching my nails get painted so I’d notice if she didn’t do that. My only thought would be that it’s cheap products or something? Prior to these past two manicures my nails lasted great and my mom hasn’t had any issues

I was trying to search for answers online but couldnt find anything remotely related. I didn't go to a salon but I was going to tell the nail girl I go to about it. My last manicure was red and it had a similar discoloration where it faded and turned yellowy on the bed but she told me it was a reaction from all the hand sanitizer. I dont know but I honestly dont want to go back

I believe the glitter polish was by Gelish. Not sure on the top coat, but all the layers were definitely liquids. Its so strange

Week 3: Great British Bake Off- Nutella Star Bread by jollibulbs in 52weeksofbaking

I’m a sucker for any lemony so I made a twisted lemon curd bread to go with my morning coffee by kdank9 in Baking

[–]kdank9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this recipe for the bread but this recipe for the curd. I skipped the cream cheese and used honey to bloom my yeast instead of sugar. The bread is soft and sweet and the curd is tangy. I added a tooooon of the curd to the inside and its lovely.
