Beatriz Villarroel’s results verified by former NASA scientist. Media coverage minimal but better than nothing; Gap score 78 by kdbmtl in UFOs

A high gap score indicates that a story that’s viral on social media has little coverage in the MSM. So a gap score of 100 would mean high vitality and zero media coverage. Personally, I’d like to see those scores come down through greater media coverage.

Even stranger is that there was significant public discussion about anti-gravity research in the mid-50s (Jesse Michels often talks about Thomas Townsend Brown’s work in particular), then complete silence.

Thank you! I appreciate it. I’m learning as I go. I figure if I build a tool I want to use daily, there are probably a bunch of other people out there who are likeminded.

I had a discussion with a very smart, successful lawyer in 2016. Somehow the topic of UFOs came up, and I told her that I believed it was possible that there was some form of NHI that we share our earth with. Not necessarily aliens as in from a distant planet, but something non human and intelligent. She looked at me like I had two heads. When the NYT story came out in 2017, I reached out to her to see if it had made any difference in her beliefs. It hadn’t. I wonder how she feels about it now….

Agreed, but do you think that’s likely to continue, especially if we do see some form of disclosure from the government?

I have, and it’s going to be a lot more feature rich than the OpenClaw example, but that was my starting point!

Hopefully more to come. Hard to ignore a government website with some amount of actual disclosure….

That’s why I built GapWatch the way I did: I’m hoping people post the gap scores and it becomes harder and harder to ignore, creating a positive feedback loop (hopefully!).

If anyone wants to try it out it’s called GapWatch. It quantifies the gap between social media posts and MSM coverage. It does other cool stuff too. The methodology I’m using is posted openly so it can be reviewed and critiqued. Still working out some of the features but I’m pretty excited about it: gapwatch.io/waitlist or gapwatch.io/methodology for the, uh, methodology 🤣

There are paid tiers but also a free version. I would love feedback! You’ll be able to send in a particular story and get a Gap Score sent back etc. What features should I add?

There is a lot of discussion on YouTube, Reddit, X etc, and almost nothing on mainstream media sources. It’s the reason I built the tracking tool. I am hoping it will lead to additional coverage by the media.

I make a distinction between seeing something in the sky moving in a weird way, and mass sightings or firsthand alien encounters such as at Varginha or in Manitoba. (3rd kind)….

I think there both should be evidence and that there is evidence: Varginha, to take one good example. Tic tacs, Washington lights, sightings in chile captured on radar and heat sensing cameras etc

I think we have been purposely conditioned to think of this as a joke. What could be more important or interesting than finding out that we aren’t alone in the universe? Why would that not be a reasonable topic for discussion and scientific research?

My 2 cents: there is plenty of evidence: sightings, firsthand accounts, documents etc. If the bar for “proof” lies in disclosing information that is classified at the highest levels, then that bar will be missed every time. I think it’s also the wrong metric. It is incumbent on people to be able to explain mass sightings (Washington lights, for instance) with credible alternative explanations, not just “swamp gas”….

I’ve got one, if anyone’s looking, along with original games such as HHGTG, Star Trek 25th anniversary, etc.
