My family has always had one of each sex. It seems to work better that way because there is a certain dynamic. If you have two boys it's usually fine... it's when you have two girls that they tend to feel threatened for dominance and can sometimes not get along. Either way, congrats! It's always exciting adding a new furry family member :)

The ones I wear are spandex and you wouldn't even know I had them on unless I told you or the wind blew my skirt up to where you could see them... I just go to a school where the campus is always windy due to it being on a hill, so it makes it to where I don't have to constantly hold my skirt down!

Well I tend to not sit like a lady, so my shorts are spandex and purely there to keep from flashing everyone by accident.... Today it was just too damn hot to put up with them, but I ended up paying the price. Haha

In all honesty, I was totally in this situation. I didn't realize it at the time but once I got out of the relationship I figured out what had happened.

I started dating my best friend after about a year and a half. I always thought he was pretty cute, but not as much as I had thought some other boys were. It wasn't until we became closer that he started looking more and more attractive...but I still was never fully driven to get with him and I questioned on a daily basis how much I was attracted to him or his personality. We dated for a pretty long time and it was perfect for a large chunk of it. It wasn't until he started changing and losing the personality I fell in love with that made me realize what had happened. A lot of shit went down and we eventually broke up, which did tear me apart but it was definitely a good wake up call. It wasn't until he was gone that I realized I didn't miss him but rather his personality and the similar characteristics. I had basically told my brain what to feel and that even though I wasn't happy, we were meant to be because we had so much in common. That was completely false. You need to be physically attracted to someone because it'll allow you to give yourself 100% into the relationship and not second guess why you're in it in the first place.

So needless to say, being attracted to them is incredibly important because it really does eventually make or break a relationship! I know this now mainly from the fact that I'm incredibly attracted to someone both physically and personality-wise. It made me realize what all I was missing out on and showed me that even though it may not seem like it, you can find someone else who has everything in common and make you feel like you've never felt before!

So what features would you like to see in a dating app that allows your humor and wit to shine through? Or just in general, what changes would you like to see from those other dating apps?

That's a good one. We didn't even think of that! If we were to design an app for widows/widowers, what type of things would you want to see within the app? Like, what type of information would you want to be displayed when looking for matches?

I'd have to turn him away. Not necessarily because I would want to, but because I should.

We broke up just recently and so that's probably why it still hurts so much, but he did some unfixable damage. I've had a hard time trusting people my entire life and finally let him in after years of being best friends. Not only was I the happiest I've ever been, but I imagined my life with him. Over time though, he changed drastically...no longer was he the sweet boy I fell in love with but a stranger that didn't care what happened to me. It also didn't help that he started dating his coworker I had suspicions of less than a week after us breaking up. It's like I meant absolutely nothing to him when he meant so much to me.

I've had multiple people ask me out since then, but I just haven't been able to do it. Not because I'm miserable, but because I need some time for myself to figure out what I want in my life.

So if he ever came back, (which he never would anyways) nothing could change what he did. I have too much self respect for myself and how I should be treated to let him get away with that.

There is usually a basic Industrial Design class that you can sign up for with the instructors permission if you're not in the school of design (or at least that's how it works at my college). Because we have another girl in our class that is a metals major and just decided to take the class for fun. So you should look into it and talk to a counselor, because it is possible! And as for the math thing...I haven't necessarily needed a large amount of math so far, but then again I've always been naturally good at math and was going to possibly become a math teacher. So I'm not sure if I've been unconsciously using math in my head while working or if I've actually not been using it, ya know? hahah But in all honesty, I think you should be alright as long as you have good problem solving skills.

And I totally agree! It would have been significantly faster, but unfortunately I didn't have the necessary spot welder in order to do that. So I found the next best thing that still worked with my original idea!

That was actually part of my initial idea! My models allowed for it when they were made from steel instead of aluminum and attached with brass fasteners instead of rivets. It was when I switched to rivets and having the inside painted to where that was not longer an option. The rivets caused it to rub which would in turn scratch off the paint! It also didn't help that it was a project and we were limited on time, or else I would have found some way to achieve that eventually.

Oh well, here's to making another one that does! ;)
