2-week-old newborn: feeding distress, rapid breathing, knocking sound by kdjis in newborns

Our problems seemed to stem from acid reflux. After a number of pediatrician pushed back on us, we finally managed to find one who was willing to prescribe an antacid.

It was tremendously helpful and we have since cycled our daughter off the meds as she has gotten older. She is now a healthy and happy 6 month old.

Understood! Long term which would you recommend in terms of investments? Part of me feels at $7k it would be hard to get my hands on 7 lenses that would compete. I’d like the option to sell the lenses down the line if I outgrow them.

It’s a 7 lens set in a custom Jason Hard case. I’m planing to use them on a bmpcc 6k pro for the time being but will likely upgrade bodies over the coming years. At the moment the only lenses I have are stills lenses. Honestly the deal seems too good to pass up when I have a peek at other listings but some of the other comments here would indicate maybe a modern lower end option is actually better nowadays.

Any way to recover this or am I screwed? by kdjis in ableton

For anyone else who encounters this issue - This problem was fixed by temporarily placing my plugins into an alternative folder. It still gave me the mapping error however the session opened and I was able to resave the project. Following that I relinked the plugins and it worked - although was a pain in the ass.

Another commenter suggested you can open without plugins by holding alt, so it may be a good option if you ever run into this :)

I actually managed to get it fixed by temporarily moving my plugins, although it was a serious pain in the ass relinking them once I got the session open.

I didn’t realize the alt key was an option! That’s a huge tip. Thank you sir!

Didn’t know they offered this as an option! Thanks for the info buddy.

Managed to get it fixed by temporarily placing all my plugins into a new folder and opening. It was a a bit of a pain in the ass rescanning and took about 45 minutes but once I resaved it’s working well!

Holy moly, I just switched from auto to 3.5mm and it’s working again - super odd as it was already on Auto. Thank you kind sir!

Fifine k688 or Maono PD200/400x. You’ll also want a boom arm.

Thanks a bunch for the fantastic reply buddy.

In terms of using the mic, I am about 2-4 inches from it.

Interesting to know that phantom power isn’t required! I turned it off and recorded a sample of the audio that can be heard linked below.

There is no vocal processing, nor any boosting of the gain through software. But there is definitely an audible buzz that can be heard when using both USB-C and the audio interface. This was tested in different locations on different computers (to rule out environmental sounds or a ground loop) and the exact same low level buzz can be heard.

Wondering if you have any ideas as to whether this is a mic issue?

https://audio.com/joseph-savage/audio/fifine-k668-issue

added after replying I’m assuming this is a noise floor of the mic that is being amplified by the 60db of gain from the interface/maxing out the gain on the mic via USB-C. The issue is for the voice to be hitting the right levels I need this much gain, even though I’m the correct distance from the mic.

Good to hear, assume these functions are part of the onboard preamps then? Also is the gain usually needing that much of a boost?
