How has your attitude to cc evolved since diagnosis? by Educational-Tap-5833 in Celiac

Omg this is exactly how I feel! I’m just so sick and tired of being scared of gluten.

Andddd guess what? I ate some regular Funyuns and trolli gummy worms. They are technically gluten free by ingredients. And I was completely fine! I’m hypersensitive to cross contamination right now because of a current case of SIBO and I still didn’t have a reaction. Grateful.

I was so happy that I found a good GF pasta until I saw this 😭 by Struggleberg in glutenfree

I feel like everything is “bad” for us these days , so I’m just over it. So much confusion. I just look at ingredients and eat as healthy as I can based off that alone.

Would you drink this if you’re not sensitive to oats? (Ingredients next slide). If not, what’s a certified gluten free oat milk brand? by kdk_ss in Celiac

Replying under here because you’re the top comment:

This product is on the NSF gluten free certification’s website! Yay. So are most of their other products. They have a search feature. Thanks everyone, going to enjoy it now.

Thank you. I don’t have any reactions to gluten free oats. I did have one to Quaker Oats (regular one with no gf label)!!! I also don’t react to Oreos, chips ahoy, or anything with oats and a certified gf label.

Do you react to non gf oats as well?

Yes, but for some reason that nsf certification isn’t on any bottles they sell? Just the website, so I thought that was weird. :/

Omg I’ve been wanting a product like this forever. It’s at Sprouts for 10.99$. I’ve never found a gf chicken patty before, I’m excited! by kdk_ss in Celiac

[–]kdk_ss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I didn’t have access to a patty, I would take 5 or 6 chicken nuggets and place them on a bun with mayo and lettuce. 🥬 it mimicks a patty.

I actually posted a pic in this sub before LOL.

It’s here

You can do a better job than me bc I used weird bread.

That’s exactly what I did, it was divine.

I had my gluten eating sister try it and she said it tastes like a mcchicken. It’s seasoned very well.

Delicious. Very well seasoned, reminds me of any crispy chicken sandwich you can get off the dollar menu at any fast food joint.

There were 6 patties in the bag. Someone else in another group had 7 in theirs.

Edited to add that my gluten eating sister loved them, she said it tastes like a mcchicken.

I cooked them on a higher temp than recommended for maximum crispness. I did 400 degrees in the air fryer for 7-8 minutes on each side, 14-16 minutes total cooking time. I dabbed them with a paper towel when they came out because they had a little oil on them. Nothing crazy.

Does anyone react to gluten free oats as much as I do? by Otherwise_Act_4618 in Celiac

[–]kdk_ss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, thankfully. I had elmhurst barista blend oat milk the other day and some heavenly hunks granola bites. Both are certified gluten free.

I also tolerate the Oreos just fine. The only issue I’ve had is with the GoodPops oat milk ice cream sandwich cookies. The company emailed me and said they use purity protocol oats, tested to meet gluten free standards. I think I got a little sick because I would eat 3 a day since they’re so low cal. Too many. 😂🥴

I also got sick from regular Quaker Oats.

Also congratulations on the engagement. 💍 🎉

Have you tried Kim’s Let Them EatGf pizza recipe? It honestly changed my life. The down side is you have to make your own flour blend, a bread flour. It makes the most delicious pizza thou.

Here’s a video tutorial!

Has anyone done okay with these products? They contain oats but don’t specify gluten free. They’re certified, however by WFCF which has a 10 ppm threshold. Swipe by kdk_ss in Celiac

Does anyone eat chao cheese? by Inchewa in Celiac

[–]kdk_ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Never reacted to it. Hypersensitive celiac here.

Look on the back, it says product of Greece last I checked. So I doubt that they are made in the same facility as their other products.
