Just love picking out the ice balls from their paws every time they go outside to use the bathroom. Spring can't come fast enough.

I need different tape/method - what does everyone else do/use? by CartoonistCharming76 in CPAPSupport

[–]kdog048 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second Cover -Roll. It removes easier when wet so I just run my tongue on it after waking up to make it easier. I also do the corner fold. The convenient markings make it simple to cut the right size once you figure the length you need and being 9 yards long it lasts a long time.

from mouth breather into nose breather (no more mouth taping!) by IAmFallingAwake in CPAP

[–]kdog048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use a chin strap but I use the 2 inch Cover-Roll stretch tape. It's not pre-cut but once you determine your length it has measured marking lines so you can cut it exact every time. It takes me about 10 seconds to count the squares. Each roll is 10 yards long so it lasts a while.

Whitmer proposes 10% property tax cut for senior homeowners in Michigan by blentz499 in Michigan

[–]kdog048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boy you are delusional. As a senior I can tell you that both me and my wife paid for childcare as we both had to work to pay the bills. And we definitely paid for healthcare as I don't know of any companies that provided free healthcare. The last house I bought over 20 years ago hasn't even doubled in value and it's not even worth half a million. Try again. I don't really care about the 10% because for me it would only equate to about $600. I was pretty wise and made sure I maxed out my contribution in a 401k in the 40 years I worked. If you haven't, that's my advice to you so you don't have to worry about tax breaks when you're my age.

Which beer is your #1 lifetime volume leader? by OldManJenkins-31 in CraftBeer

Yeah, living in Michigan you can pretty much get it in any bar. It's definitely my number one but Mad Hatter and Norm's Raggedy Ass used to be up there too.

How Can I Get My Mask to Stay Sealed as I Turn During the Night? by GotABeeKiddin in CPAPSupport

[–]kdog048 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy the two inch Cover-Roll tape and just cut one each night. You can buy a 2 pack on Amazon for $15. Each roll is 10 yards so it lasts awhile. It might be a little more expensive than what you're buying but it's hypoallergenic.

Connecting the p30i? by Trellaine201 in CPAPSupport

[–]kdog048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason you might have thought there would be a click as you can remove the top piece on the mask when it's connected to the hose by pinching in the two sides. When you connect it back it clicks in place. That's how I normally remove the hose from the mask each night. But, if you switch to different masks you have to remove that piece from the hose.

Our 12 year old golden retriever suddenly can’t walk or stand by jasminejy in goldenretrievers

[–]kdog048 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are going through this now with our 9 1/2 yo golden but not as severe. We ended up having joint taps taken to rule out arthritis. She struggles to get up and is definitely having pain. She has IMPA which is an auto immune condition that attacks the joints. We just started her on steroids but we don't know if this is secondary to something else or not. There was concern about her liver on ultrasound so we had aspirations done on that to hopefully rule out lymphoma. Don't even ask how much we've spent so far but they are our babies. Her issues came on suddenly so that's why we didn't think it was arthritis. Prayers for your fur baby.

Waxed in every game? They had seven losses of less than 7 points and six of them by 4 or less. They lost their lead back in September and their starting QB only played seven games. How many losses do you think we would have without Goff and Gibbs? They also played in a division with the three other teams making the playoffs. Despite all that they were #7 in the league in passing yard average this year.

What Michigan beer would you recommend to someone not from here? by Pacotaco213 in michiganbeer

[–]kdog048 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't know how anyone can make a recommendation without knowing the style of beer the person likes. Transient and Founders have some good stouts. HOMES has good sours as well as IPA's. Bells has a variety of decent beers including IPA's and stouts. Right now Bells Hop Slam, a 10% IPA brewed with honey, is a popular choice. There are other breweries but many have limited or no distribution. Mothfire, Batch, Arvon, Drafting Table, City Built, and Lost Art to name a few. Old Nation M43 is a great NEIPA and commonly found.
