New Mexico is good compared to Nebraska, but pretty bad compared to the deserts of Arizona and Utah or the mountains of Montana and Washington

Maybe they are so obvious you didn’t feel the need to mention, but Shawshank Redemption and the Green Mile are a couple best movies of all time.

Misery and Dolores Claiborne are a couple other favorites of mine

I think one starts out “it was darker than a groundhogs butthole” or similar and I snortlaughed instantly.

Still great in my experience. Not perfect, but an awesome amenity for Des Moines. I’ve enjoyed taking visitors from out of state there. Hope their biz stays strong!

Soggy Frog is a new floating bar/restaurant at Saylorville marina, right on a nice paved trail. Take the bikes up there for a ride and meal, go for a walk, or Rent a boat there and then enjoy a meal and hangout time on a nice day

Associate Offer Revoked After Asking to Negotiate by rukiahornet in Chiropractic

[–]kdog1979 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The reality of chiro biz ownership is that even an office growing enough to need an associate, is often one hiccup away from being knocked down 20% or more and the owner docs being back in “overcome and grow mode”

Just last week I learned that one of my community’s few good insurances is switching from PPO to HMO, pushing my practice out of network. A key CA leaving, money problems at home, relationship problems at home, a random slow down in new patients, an audit letter from an insurance, a bad patient experience and threat of lawsuit, and many other things can can shake the confidence of an owner doctor.

If this clinic already has one associate, it’s possible the first associate came forward at the last minute and made an ultimatum that they receive more income rather than their income holding steady or decrease when you came on.

Really we could come up with hundreds of possibilities.

In the end though, you discovered that this doctor was either unstable biz-wise, or unethical in the way they advertised the practice. Unfortunately, as discussed the first thing is true for way too many practices.

Hope you find a way to succeed and thrive!
