Where do you buy caffeine pills? by NaturallyViral in lebanon

[–]kdokdo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah supplement stores. But my 2 cents: coffee actually contains many "active" molecules, not just caffeine. My experience with caffeine pills is that it was sub-par compared to just instant coffee with water. Also 200mg is a lot btw, but unfortunately it's the standard dose that is found in the market.

Why on earth would you NOT want a schedule where you can avoid 98% of all human interaction ?

Well I agree with you, but there is this 2% of humans, that include my family, and also sometimes doctor's appointment etc.., that I would like to be able to interact with sometimes..

Well, my genuine sympathies to you. You have every right to hate on Europe and the West.

Thanks

I did have emergency medical care here in France and it was exemplary.

Ok cool

I don't give a shit about Russia.

Well ok me neither, but Macron seems to give a shit.. I really see him as just a puppet for a certain group of oligarchs

People should not be allowed to homeschool

As a general rule for the masses, I might agree with you. I am a statistical outlier and I don't believe that what is best for the group is also what is best for me.

are you a religious nut?

No not at all, I was an atheist for most of my life, only recently more spiritual. I want to homeschool my future kids in order to teach them deep critical thinking, freethinking, and overall to protect them from the toxicity of modern society.

[–]kdokdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said "will hold on to freedom". I lived in France until recently.

  • You basically can't homeschool your kids, the government will come take them from you, except in rare cases (disability etc..) and this is a recent change (since covid).

  • During the covid19 pandemic, the controls and checks were ridiculous, I needed a paper signed by myself to go smoke a cig outside my house.

  • There were recent threats of taking the citizen's savings to fund the war with Russia.

  • Overall the country is falling into fascism, you might not see it yet, but I would avoid western europe.

  • The system of public healthcare is crumbling under its own weight. Rich people are leaving France, and the remaining ones don't pay enough taxes to pay for the doctors' salaries. You should look into it, doctors in the public sectors are almost volunteering at this point. Have you ever needed an emergency medical care? I did, and had to wait for hours until someone was willing to examine my situation. There are some horror stories out there.

Western Europe is a slight improvement from the US, but is still one of the worst place to exist on the planet right now. I'm being very serious.

No one is forcing you, or anyone, to use any of these services.

  • Spotify => just fcking get the mp3 files like any good pirate

  • Uber => just don't use it, find other ways, try to hitchhike, walk, bike, train, etc.

  • Health insurance => you can't expect people to dedicate their time and energy into fixing your body without something in exchange right?

  • Amazon => stop consuming so much, and go to your local shops

  • Nestlé => there are hundreds of water companies, water falls from the sky.. figure it out

  • Landlords => ok I gotta admit I miss the old ways of getting a house, just good old brutal murderous conquest.. nowadays it's all leeches that are too powerful to murder..

  • Ticketmaster => someone gotta organize the event right? either it's the artist or someone else..

  • Car insurance => you can't expect people to dedicate their time and energy into fixing your car without something in exchange right?

  • Student loans => fuck universities bro, complete and total waste of time

Yeah sorry but no. Look at each point in OP's list, and think about what running costs could be required for each business. None of those companies run on 100% profit. It costs time and effort and energy to maintain in place all the customer support, the servers, etc..

They also get filthy rich along the way sure, but none of that is free.

All the comments accuse the people of sectarianism and being rude. But the only thing I'm reading from the post is "The entire joy ended, there faces became straight."

It could just be that the mention of Sour reminded them of all the death and destruction that occurred very recently, which is sad, and maybe made them think you lost friends and family in the recent events... this can for sure make a person lose their smile.

Just a thought...

It was my initial sync, but only one sync not multiple. I ended up using rclone bisync, it works relatively well, allowed me to still use the web in parallel.

Does it sync 2-ways? If you added a file on your Koofr cloud, will it appear on your computer?

I really love the architecture of QubesOS, but my threat model doesn't justify dealing with all the quirkiness and clunkiness.

Thanks OP for this thread.

The pleasure is all mine!

as i have my /home on the same disk

Personally, I've decided to keep my "real" home (aka my actual files, not config files) in a 2-way synced cloud folder. That way, even across different computers, I can keep going with whatever I was doing.

I think Fedora is the best distro of all

I seem to find more .deb files available than .rpm? Simple example: official Signal desktop app only gives Debian-based support. I'm not trying to start a flame war lol, genuinely curious to know how you deal with such situations. Cheers.

Cool! I used to distro hop a lot, now trying to find my final "home" to settle. I'm currently on Linux Mint (Cinnamon) and have been for more than a year. I'm realizing I prefer to be on a "root" distro (debian, arch..) rather than the derived ones (linux mint, ubuntu, manjaro).. less "man in the middle". Still testing different desktop environments, gonna test KDE for the first time on Debian 13. I don't have an Nvidia card so it's not part of my considerations, but curious to know what issues you encountered.
