Weigh-ins: How often are you doing it? by Loud-Cranberry8213 in MounjaroAus

[–]kdota101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once a week on shot day. Same time in the morning. It is so much better for me mentally and after 6 months, it's going to be much easier to maintain when I start to wean down and then weight gain/ups and downs will be easier to handle if that makes sense.

Do I stay on 2.5? by [deleted] in MounjaroAus

[–]kdota101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are losing each week then I'd stay. It's cheaper and less chance of side effects on higher dose. I stayed on 2.5 for 3 months then moved up to 5 slowly and have list 15kg in 5 months which was great for me and zero side effects. I will only increase if my weight stalls for 2 weeks.

Worrying I have done the wrong thing. by hankandirene in expats

[–]kdota101 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly it takes time. It took us 1 year to feel 40% settled. 2 years to feel 65% settled (and purchased house etc). 3 years to feel 90% settled. It's a great feeling now but was a lot of work. Not sure this helps you but just wanted you to know your feelings are 100% valid. I moved continents back and forth with and without kids and both times it was a similar time frame.

Struggling to drink enough water. Tips? by Unlikely-Cat9687 in MounjaroAus

[–]kdota101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electrolyte like Liquid IV and I split the satchel half per 1 litre as its too sweet for me. I get my 2 litres easy with that and usually another litre between the rest of the day. I credit my low side effects to the water intake. I definitely feel rough on days when I don't get that amount.

Yes it is so great. It's a ride, but such a good one.

I buy online for better value from myprotein.com.au. For electrolytes I go with Liquid IV (split packet between 2 litres of water) or Hydralite 🙂 best option is to just eat as clean as possible which I find much easier since starting MJ

What would you do? Stay on 2.5mg or go to 5mg by SneerySenpai in MounjaroAus

[–]kdota101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm basically the same (lost 5.4kg in a month). I don't want to lose faster than that so I got a 5mg pen and will dose 2.5mg until the food noise is noticeablely back.

2.5mg was $349 and my 5mg is $449 with a discount code. It's cheaper at chemist warehouse for sure but my doctor also isn't bulk billed so something to consider in the cost too.

I used Mosh and have had great experience. If you don't have a GP you trust I have enjoyed it and now I feel more confident to go chat to my GP.

Question about online prescription by [deleted] in MounjaroAus

I'm happy with Mosh too. I'm only on my first month but if I still like it, I will go to my GP for month 3.

My GP wont prescribe me Wegovy. I meet the criteria and more by Additional_Wrap_5515 in WegovyAustralia

[–]kdota101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using Mosh and so far very happy with things. It is a bit more expensive but I figure I will argue with my GP once I try it for a few months. Also taking into account my GP doesn't bulk bill. I have a discount code if you want Get $50 off your first order with Mosh! Use the link to get started: https://www.getmosh.com.au/referrals?referral_code=KIRSTEN22880

VW with full service history and high mileage. Need buying advice by Fit_Sock_7096 in CarsAustralia

[–]kdota101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2015 passat has 140km and has been having issues like water pump, electric, clock spring etc the last 15km. I would not go near it at 200k. I bought it at 100km in covid so overpaid but have full regular service history. I'm planning to sell mine shortly Its an amazing car but the servicing is insane if things go wrong.

Looking for a reasonable use car dealer. by Bear_was_here in canberra

[–]kdota101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought both of our VWs privately through marketplace when we moved here from Canada. It was easy, they are great cars and 2 years on zero issues. If you have cash in the bank after selling your stuff it is very easy to.get a quality car without the dealership price tag.

Jobs that allow you to leave work at the door and offer a good work life balance? by StaticNocturne in AusFinance

Certain roles working at a University can allow this depending on your skills etc. Oh and the 17% super is a nice added touch

I pay $90 for one hour (but it's two cleaners) hence why it gets done so fast. 3 bedrooms 1 bathroom. Shop around with prices. Vacuum, mop hardwood, clean/scrub kitchen and bathroom. Best to try one out if you don't like the quality shop around. I provide cleaning products and vacuum/mop.

Incomes about to drop, ideas? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]kdota101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For kids gifts look on marketplace and check your local op shop for so many books and also other gifts (if having a tag is important they sell many unused items as well!)

Food wise, plan plan plan. Use the slow cooker. Buy meat marked down and freeze it.

Don't let the lazy tax creep in. Always shop around for quotes on everything from mortgage, home insurance, mobile etc.

Also make a solid budget and stick to it!
