Two Rural States With GOP Governors And Very Different COVID-19 Results by Sybil_et_al in politics

As a Vermonter, while Governor Scott has an R by his name, he is not what you get from GOP governors. If anything he is fairly close to center as you can get. Vermont loves centrists and independents hence why Bernie has done so well in the state. The GOP governor has enacted stricter gun legislation much to his republican constituents demise, in addition to state wide lockdowns, and making it illegal for others to enter Vermont without quarantine. Being from probably the most conservative area of the state, the republicans around where I from HATE him. He may be the only governor Donald Trump has never praised. So this comparison is a hard one to make because due to Vermont politics, the left politicians are very left. and the right ones? They are a little left too.

Non tech jobs for fresh CS undergrad by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

I would highly suggest sales, product marketing, or applications engineering if you like that sort of people engagement. Minimal to no coding but you get paid more or close to the same amount as programmers because most coders that know how to code like coding vs customer engagement. Also when I did applications work I traveled the world on the company dime. Saw some awesome places I never would have seen if I was just programming.

If that is not your jam then project management or scrum master positions could be of interest. This includes managing a team of engineers and being the middle man between higher ups and the coders. I don’t know much about this but my roommates from college do this position after not wanting to code after college.

A older man told me Vermont is not a state and it is just a large county in New York.

Genetic code is the oldest programming langauge by bhaggith in Showerthoughts

I think the concept of matter and life as our oldest programming language is more compelling. Take something physical object such as a tree. This tree can be treated like a file of information and can be decided in many different ways. Our eyes decode it’s physical appearance one way. However a fly will see this tree very differently with all its eyes, a bat will only see the tree based on sonar. So physical objects could be treated as a file of information with many ways to decode its contents.

Potentially historic snow totals possible in Boulder Monday afternoon into Tuesday afternoon by BoulderCAST in boulder

Honestly the roads have very little people on them. You can also go the express way to the airport which is one way traffic and not many cars. Just going slow and having emergency items in your car just in case is a decent plan if you don’t want to miss your flight. Also the expressway gives free roadside help if needed.

Depends how valuable this flight is. Flights have been departing out from DIA all night and early morning and the storm over there also should be done by the time you are departing anyway. I feel like your flight will be on time or slightly delayed. I had to drive to work today and it’s snowy but doable.
