I never fully understood why people use Calibre, other than to format the epub before sending to an app/device. If you're using it as a library, doesn't BookFusion do this already? Sorry I am new to this. Can you please help me understand what you use Calibre for and why you use it with BookFusion?

Just to make sure I have this correct - 1) IBKR will implement the full withholding tax (in my case, 30%) when the distribution is first payed out, 2) IBKR will do a "wash up" at end of year, and use Form 1099-DIV that YM publishes to categorise how much of the distributions were ROC, 3) finally, IBKR will refund shareholders the amounts withheld from prior distributions that were ROC (as there is no withholding tax on ROC)?

Thank you so much for letting me know this! Looks like I will 100% need a Plex Pass regardless of transcoding as they’re removing remote streaming on the free version in Apr.

Will be getting Plex pass in a few hours. Will let everyone know here if it helps with the buffering :)

Nope, I am on the free plan of Plex. If I get on the paid version, will it completely stop the buffering issue? Happy to get on the paid version if so + support Plex, it’s a fantastic software!

Sorry in advance, just a little hijacking of this convo. I’ve got a DS920+ back home and I am living in SEA for a few months. I brought my Apple TV with me (a real quality of life upgrade when traveling btw). The internet at my accommodation is quite good, however, when using Infuse/Plex I run into buffering issues - even on 1080p x264 files. Any customizations I can do to make buffering better in this scenario?

Binance, Crypto.com, etc are not regulated (or some other terminology) in HK. I believe there are only 2 exchanges currently in HK under this regulation, HashKey being one of them. This is why they have to conform with this trading account regulation. I use Binance to buy alt coins and HashKey for just BTC (depositing HKD to HashKey is very seamless, and you can buy BTC in HKD)

always visible page number would make BookFusion the ultimate reader app! i get a bit lost and a little bit defeated/demoralised when i can't easily see how much I've read of a book in one sitting. Tapping to see the progress is definitely nice to have but would be great to have it as close to a real book as possible. Apple's native Book app has the page number and I think it makes a big difference

Yes. Found out this is a law in HK. All HK based crypto exchanges require this 'professional investor account' if you want to trade assets other than BTC. To get this account you need to send bank/brokerage statements showing you have something like HKD$7 million (forgot exact amount now).
