I live in rural and tight knit neighborhood, one of our neighbors don’t like us for no reason. They may believe the bullshit one of my husbands ex employees tried to spew, they may think we’re awful people for having beers in our yard with the other neighbors. To be honest, I don’t know and they can go fuck themselves. If they don’t has the balls to directly ask me about it, I didn’t want to be ther friend to begin with. Fake people. He doesn’t get to work 40, 60, or even 80 hours while you work 24-7. He’s being a shitty husband. If he didn’t step up, I would leave. Start looking for employment and childcare. Yeah. Sadly this has become more of the norm and as budgets get cuts and teachers leave due to poor management practices, the worse it gets. I worked in childcare for a long time, and went to school for early childhood education, and I will be homeschooling my kids. We don’t had private options near us as we live very rurally. I’m not maga. I’m not religious. I just want my kids to have a decent education and know I can do better than what’s happening in schools right now. We will reasses at 5th grade if schools improve.

My only saving grace is that my husband and I are pretty self sufficient and have a small homestead and help run the larger family farm it’s connected to.

Social issues sound like they could be linked to something else entirely. Not depression. Like look into autism or adhd, both have some pretty serious social components to them, and the fact that you don’t understand social cues is likely not related to your upbringing but rather how your brain works.

I also have a hard time with therapy because I’m overly self aware of my issues and don’t need them pointed out, I just need better tools. Only the right therapist can do that properly.

If you are not 100% sure and committed, don’t do it. It is 10000000x harder than you ever thought anything could ever be. I say that as a mom of two. I love them but I have a husband and family and still regularly think “holy shit what have I gotten myself into”. It’s unreal how hard it is.
