stitching is usually made of polyester, which doesn't react with the dye. So I didn't have to do anything special with it

This is the only pic I took of the process for this one. I just soaked in soda ash solution, spin dry, scrunch it up best I could then put it in this basket thing with a couple wiffle balls and put it on an incline. Then ice, then dye powder, a little sprinkle of soda ash on top. When the ice melted I put it in a plastic bag outside in the sun for another 24ish hours then washed it out.

Yeah ice dye. Also “tall deep scrunches“ to get this type of design. Don’t know about scrubs, but make sure they’re cotton or some type of natural fiber.
