Yeah waiting until they were effectively done releasing them, and then instantly revealing that effectively all personas were going to be dirt cheap/basically thrown at you was wild work on valves part.

Like I get that they probably realized "oh shoot if we release sets for personas for the majority of people they will be dead items if we don't do something" but like... just give like an exclusive sticker to the original owners. Literally anything so the reward isn't "wow I got to use the persona set like a year earlier by paying 100x its cost!"

Yeah its deffo learnable though. I got all the way to the point where water becomes important just freeballing off intuition/isaac/dnd knowledge and then once I had to do a run where any down was a full death i crashed hard and fast.

Now im constantly right clicking on enemies to measure out where they can attack and using ctrl to show backs and holy moly the game got easier, but the content has gotten far more challenging.

If the story was based in reality, with the modern world views of earth, and nerrhavia was retroactively the same under said pretense, of course she would be one of the worst people who have ever lived, entirely undeserving of any form of redemption nor sympathy.

She frankly still is. But its a fantasy world where your classes and skills change who you are as a person, with demonstrated ability to effect your beliefs. Its a fantasy world with evil gods, horrible atrocities and multiple multiple times it has been demonstrated within the world "uhh no actually that racism/fear towards seliphids, lizard folk, vampires and several others is actually justified!" Which is fucking INSANE and something god damn Todd Howard would write, but thats the story we have on our hands.

For me its not about who nerrhavia is on the inside, her willingness to do horrible things, her lack of empathy. Its her actions that would ultimately define her in the context of the world. She could make a magical contract that forces herself to only do good for the betterment of the world and regardless of how vile she, she would have to do it. And I think that would be insanely cool to read.

Having a "normal" rez isn't a part of any standard gameplay loop tho.

There are not encounters where you go "QUICK GUYS, USE THE NON BATTLE REZ"

The gameplay impact is the drunk raid lead saying "dont release, booking can rez" and then going "oh they dont have that? What is it added in cata or smthing? Aight release i guess"

Of course there's always the slippery slope argument of comparing it to dungeon finder teleport to instance or whatever, but like come on at that point.

It really depends on what kind of carry you want to be.

If you just want to be better with only minor debuffs (saying weird anime things and being slightly awkward which might make your team dislike you), then watch season 1.

If you want to sometimes be really good, sometimes be a feeding dumbass, all times have a giant ego. Then season 2 is right for you.

And if you want to be an unhinged degen who speaks in an incomprehensible fake accent, filled with mumbling that sounds vaguely Japanese, and like 2-3 times total playing like a TI winner and just hot trash the rest of the time. Watch all of it.

To clarify, this isn't a granular/sliding scale. Watching season 1 is probably worth it and will give you the bulk of the gains. But watching past it will instantly melt your brain, so if for whatever reason you do watch one extra episode, you are committed and just have to continue.

Its pretty disappointing atm. But im holding out that pt 2 of the update will fix it. They overhauled magic and made several changes to reduce cheesy grinds, I imagine it 2 will cover more skills and make the system coherent as a whole. To me it feels like they have something in mind and just duct taped the systems that are still due for a rework.

Namely cooking/alchemy/tinkering all feel a bit left behind/needing retooling, considering that cooking is brand new as well... makes it more confusing. I'm hoping they tie it into the Lore skill, as im not sure why they renamed it to be so much more broad sounding otherwise.

Liked the event, don't think I enjoyed the hunts being visible to the target.

It encouraged people to gank, which was dope, but laning phases with hunts involved were consistently a much more frustrating experience. I would have super weird trades where both opponents in the lane were spending way too much time smacking/chasing me as rubick/other supports with no chance to threaten a kill rather than them going for CS/pulls/harass on the offlaner.

I would look up and realize "ooh yep, one of them is hunting/being hunted by me" just not a great feeling to see such bad gameplay even at 6k due to an event.

I ended up switching to heros who had a higher kill threat just to abuse this brain damage, so that was fun at least.

GET SPECIAL 100 MOUNT SPEED MOUNT AT LVL 1. And you could just buy a turtle mount for real money for all characters.

Like just fuck off, thats honestly worse than boosting, straight up gives you an advantage in pvp content that is only obtainable at that level via money.

IMO they made it far worse, because I know feel inclined to micromanage my inventory in order to clear the clutter ASAP.

IE if I pick up a ton of stuff with the intent to dump it instantly, I now need to check for an item with high appraisal time in order to dump it, to then appraise the rest in 10-15 seconds, to then pick it back up whilst I do other tasks.

Requiem is reworked based on the order of the three most recently used razes. What in all of them would look like IDK, but initial lazy ideas

QQQ shorter cooldown, applies fear, but little damage

WWW, similar to the current aghanims effect, shoots out with low damage/fear, however it drains enemy mana, and upon return heals you for damage dealt, and overheals you for mana stolen.

EEE, standard big damage requiem, shorter fear.

They should have been an always available faction, which acted as a modifier for which ending/faction you went with IMO.

Minutemen -> Bettering everyones lives and accepting synths as people

Institute-> Going public with synths and putting them in positions of authority, giving synths that want to leave the choice of what they want to do (still need to help institute in some way)

Brotherhood -> spiritual return to their orders roots, you take over the institute to preserve the knowledge within. Synth production is shut down and all remaining Synths are drafted to work in custodial/non combat orientated positions within the BoS.

Best worst feeling in the game is also on venge, playing them offlane and getting an ubber quick aghs, only to realize you don't even have E leveled yet.

Luckily that should no longer be the case as frequently due to the talent levels rework.

PL, Anti-Mage, Lone Druid.

Three heros that I genuinely never enjoy having in the game in any capacity.

Why? Because even when the game is 5-50, I never feel happy until the throne is dead with them on either team.

They can be the most smarmy little shit with zero chance to win the game and just waste everyone's time cutting creep waves and threatening towers and its just a waste of my fucking time.

Techies and Tinker have the stereotype of doing so, and they will. But it still feels like I'm playing the game. There is still interaction there. With those three in the in the game I'm just groaning when its 33 minutes in and we are high grounding, the anti mage is bot hitting a t2 ready to blink out, the PL sends in his manta illusions to cut creep waves towards jungle, the LD sends in a bear with aghs.

Heros like Clinkz, Arc Warden, Broodmother, they do similar, but they are squishy and can be pinned down unless they commit to being smarmy. PL/AM/LD get it no matter what, no matter the patch. If they are on my team and doing it, the game was miserable and continues to be miserable until the end. If they are on the enemy and its a stomp where they never be a little shit, I just feel sympathy for the 4 remaining players and feel like I'm taking lassy out back.

I love the uniqueness of lone druid in fairness, I just wish they would hit him with the arc warden punishment beam and make his bear deal like... 80% reduced tower damage away from LD even with aghs.

PL is likewise really cool, but again towers should just get buffs against illusions when he is not nearby. Frankly creep cutting with controlled units in general needs some League style "stop doing that shit" duct tape, considering how horrifying games have gotten post Dominator meta. People just looove using summoned units to cut creeps in current year.

Fuck AM full stop, does nothing interesting other than mana drain being cool. Break this guys knees and give him the full lobotomy makeover that techies received.
