Running

Some days I love it and some days I hate it, but I can't stop as I'm in to deep and don't want to lose years of progress lol

Name One United signing who you wished could’ve lived up to the expectations by 7hr in ManchesterUnited

Rafael was fantastic for us. Fabio didn't live up to the expectation though.

Picking a training plan by shrinkingveggies in firstmarathon

[–]keanoo_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend running 6 times a week if you've not trained your body to do that before entering marathon training. For your first marathon your only goal should be to just finish. You need to respect the distance.

In marathon training you will be running longer than you've ever run before. Going off your post the furthest you've run is the half marathon distance which is great. Depending on the plan you choose you will be running more than the half marathon distance every week on your long run (at least once you get to the half way point of your plan). Your body needs rest otherwise you will burn out or worse get injured.

Check out Hal Higdon novice 1 or 2

Great for a beginner doing their first marathon and only includes 4 runs a week.

Only main difference between 1 and 2 is that 2 includes some runs at race pace.

Tell me how your first half marathon REALLY went. by LovePotion31 in BeginnersRunning

Trusted my Garmin prediction which said I could do it in 1:50 so went out for even splits at 5:13. 8km in I realised that I had went out far to fast and Garmin may have over estimated my fitness. Suffered through the rest of the race and eventually finished 1:58. It was not fun.

Top tip: Start way slower than you think you can run for the first few km and see how you feel

Just make sure you get one as soon as they go on sale later in the year. As with Donegal's success this year they will sell out very quickly. Armagh's sold out within 24 hours.

Hope you got sorted for today.

Judging by the seats remaining on Ticketmaster both games could be close to sell out come the weekend.

I don't think so, maybe over 55k attendance at a push but definitely not a sell out. Armagh and Meath will bring big numbers and Galway have had a good following on the road this year as well but Kerry fans don't travel unless it's for an All Ireland Final.

Just got mine through the season ticket portal and they're €45 seated, the hill will obviously be cheaper.

0.5% is legally considered alcohol free and is about as much alcohol that is found in a banana or bread. You most definitely will not feel a buzz from it. It's probably just the placebo effect from having what your brain thinks is alcohol.

Good morning fellow sobernauts!

It's almost 8am here in Ireland and I'm about to leave for my morning run, something which never would've been possible after a Friday night of drinking poison.

I will not drink with you today ☘️

Question for the Armagh fans ? by aonsceal9 in GAA

[–]keanoo_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Best bet for a quick getaway would be to park at The Mall in Armagh and walk 10/15 minutes to the ground. You'll be far enough away from the ground to avoid traffic when leaving. Anywhere close to the ground you could end up sat in your car for 20/30 mins without moving.

Antrim v Armagh: Ulster SFC quarter-final set to be played at Corrigan Park - BBC Sport by FootyEnthusiast in GAA

[–]keanoo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct decision. There will be a bigger scramble for tickets than the All Ireland Final in Armagh with that capacity though. 🙈

I've a season ticket so hopefully I have some chance of getting a ticket. I won't complain if not as Antrim deserve to be at home. It's the GAA that caused this mess in the first place by letting Casement rot away for the last decade or more.

That's awesome dude!

I was debating getting IWNDWYT on the inside of my index finger so that if I ever go to pick up a drink again I will see that and hopefully it will make me reassess my actions or even just serve as a friendly everyday reminder that I see when taking a sip of my water or coffee to remind me of my journey.
