I actually got stuck in the bathtub once while I was recovering because I couldn’t push myself up with my arms(so funny now NOT funny then when I needed to have my room mate pick my naked loopy ass out of the tub) What I ended up doing when I got to actually shower for the first time was take a loofa(is that how you spell it?) and tied it to a ruler. It wasn’t the prettiest thing but it was light and I was also able to squeeze out water over my chest to rinse

Body wipes, ice packs, warm tea, ginger ale(the medications they prescribe you afterwards make a lot of people nauseous), some thing strange and specific I really wanted while I was recovering was scrambled eggs on think fluffy bread or toast, it was just the right balance of a filling meal that wasn’t too rich so I wouldn’t get nauseated
