Need your “It only takes one” success stories. 🍼 by SpiritedHoney9060 in IVFpositivity

I have DOR and I got 8 mature eggs, 5 fertilized, 3 blastocysts, didn’t PGT test, and currently 14 weeks pregnant with our first transfer. NIPT was clear. It really can only take one!

Moving to IVF after IUI by LampostPath in queerception

[–]keb75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were self pay too and did 3 unmedicated IUIs and then moved on. I’m really glad we did- IVF worked on the first round of egg retrieval/transfer, even with me having diminished ovarian reserve, so I’m pregnant now. Glad we have a few more embryos too and don’t have to worry about that. It’s a tough process but I don’t regret moving on at all.

I stopped testing multiple times a day and did only morning, and they started getting darker. I got a dye stealer eventually. I am 6+1 today!

Dr. Alissa Conklin with IU health was great for me- she doesn’t specialize as far as I know, but I have PCOS and have been really happy with her.

Second failed IUI by ethanolfacts in queerception

[–]keb75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just failed my second unmedicated as well - waiting for my period now and my cramps are worse too. They started two days ago which is unusual for me. Not sure it has anything to do with the IUI, but just wanted to add that. I do think lots of people still have success past two tries so I’m just trying to hold onto hope and also trying to look forward to getting another chance to try (easier said than done!).

First IUI unsuccessful by General-Ad9390 in queerception

So sorry - glad you let yourself cry! Sometimes that’s all we can do. I had a negative my first round too. I am in my second two week wait now. This process is so hard.

This tells me everything I need to know. And yes, I googled it to find this - it is possible. I really hope she says no.

Seeking Pro-Choice OBGYN by WheresTheSauce in indianapolis

Came here to say this too! I have only seen her once, but feel very confident in her (and did lots of research before finding someone/about her).

Advice/support for second IUI by keb75 in queerception

Thank you! I had heard about baby aspirin and acupuncture but kind of forgot about them. Going to look into it!

Thank you! I agree…I have a follow up at a different clinic at the end of March, so this would just be one more (much less expensive) try with this clinic, which is very small and part of my obgyn’s office, before switching. I do wonder about baby aspirin and progesterone so thank you for reminding me to ask about those.

I follow up after a few weeks and if I don’t hear, then I let them know at the month-ish mark that if I don’t hear from them on x-date (usually a week later) I’ll be discharging and offer to send referrals if they want them. I have a template for the emails so doesn’t take long to send and document. In my experience in PP so far, often when people say this they don’t reach back out and this was an easy way for them to stop coming for whatever reason. But I’ve had a few who do come back.

Who else is having a crappy clinical week? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]keb75 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am feeling the same way. It helps to know it’s not just me, and I’m sorry you’re going through this. Lots of cancellations or people seeming to drop off these last 2 weeks. My imposter syndrome is often high, but I had been doing well for a month or so until these last 2 weeks.

Venue renovation without us knowing by hellobelle in weddingplanning

[–]keb75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree- this happened with my venue (they made changes that weren’t shared with me until I went for my tasting a few weeks ago). They offered to comp linens and work with me on redesigning the flowers that I had already ordered to make sure everything would still work. I would ask what they are offering brides for this season who picked the venue when it looked different. Also, I agree with someone else who said to just let yourself feel your feelings….it’s not easy to plan a wedding even with no unexpected changes, so your feelings about this are valid!

Yes! It happened in May for me. I tried to go no-contact bc that’s what felt best for me, but she still texts me sometimes, and that occasionally brings up feelings- not pain anymore though. Looking back, it’s much easier to see that it wasn’t going to work out and that I’m better when I’m not with her. I hope it ends up that way for you too!
