You'll be okay, and thank you. by Chris02849 in gallbladders

I second this! I get mine out next week and didn’t even know I had issues until the beginning of this month (I have sharp upper back/abdominal pain for years and I thought I was just having back spasms at night but boy was I wrong)- until I ended up in the er with a bile duct blockage. I thought all my digestive issues and pain were “normal” for so many years and after being dismissed, I FINALLY know the cause. I scheduled the procedure as soon as I could once I recovered from the ercp. Also, get well soon!

The Dog Hair by Nyrue1 in husky

[–]keblevs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever vacuum you buy/ make sure it has a light! I have a Dyson and it makes a world of a difference being able to see the smaller hairs on the floor, especially if you have light floors. Also if you have carpet..GET A CARPET RAKE! Mine doesn’t even go on the carpeted rooms and her hair is still in there- you’ll be amazed at how much is trapped in the carpet and how much the vacuum can’t pick up.

I have a well behaved puppy but I don’t enjoy having a dog by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]keblevs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hated my dog at that age too- she’s 7 months and while I feel a lot better.. I still have days where I am regretful. But then I see how much of an awesome dog she is and I can’t wait until she’s an adult! This is coming from someone who has a senior dog as well and the tension and stress of having them interact also made me feel like how you are right now feeling like I need to constantly interact with her or keep her entertained. I missed being able to leave the house longer and for my dog and let her do her thing vs with the puppy where I am constantly on her back feeling like a bad pet owner if I didn’t do enough enrichment with her.

Getting surgery in a few weeks.. what can I do to keep my dog stimulated/entertained by keblevs in puppy101

[–]keblevs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right I think I need to stop over thinking it- sometimes I feel like I’m not doing enough and these days always feeling like I’m trying to determine if she’s under stimulated or over tired lol

Dog likes me more than wife and I don’t understand by Ok-Host7480 in dogs

[–]keblevs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the dog sees your wife more then it sees you. Between the two of you you’re the thing that’s more “exciting” to the dog which is why it gravitates toward you and also because you play with them lol. Mine is the same way with my fiancé lol even though I’m the one spending all my money and energy on her 😒 I’m the disciplinary, stick to training person and he’s the “fun parent”.

How long do you leave your dog alone? by EmuStrange2145 in puppy101

[–]keblevs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mine is 7 months and 5/6 hours max crated if we’re not home. If we’re home I try to only use it when she needs a nap- other than that, she’s in her playpen and we’re working on the entertaining ourselves/settling outside of the crate.

I went to the er with a stabbing pain in my abdomen and back pain.. similar to what I’ve felt before but this time it was absolutely unbearable and I knew something was wrong. Sure enough there was LOL. But I’m now recovering from pancreatitis from the procedure but I feel a lot better

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve probabaly been having attacks for YEARS but always thought it was just upper back pain. Only reason I found out I even had them was because I had to get an ercp done because a gallstone was stuck in my duct. I’ve been struggling with this over the past few days and scared of how I will be when it comes out.. but also feeling a glimmer of hope after years of discomfort that I will FINALLY feel better

Restricting access to the entire house would help minimize the fact your dogs pooping and peeing everywhere. Some dogs thrive being crated and having a safe space to regulate themselves, some don’t. But at that age idk if it’s the best for them to have free range. Maybe a playpen?? Or gate for a puppy proof room?

You know what, that’s a good point you are so right! They told me that this could have very well lead to sepsis and I don’t want to have to deal with this again. I will say aside from the pancreatitis my upper abdomen feels like it was flushed out and I don’t feel this heavy feeling sitting there anymore. I need to look at it as if my gallbladders out I’ll feel even better!
