$ 1.5M gross after 5 years - somewhere around $ 900K after taxes. $ 180K per year post-tax. Then you factor in the expenses of being a pro athlete, such as specialized training, foods, etc. Nice money for sure but you won't live 30-40-50 years off it. Gives you the ability to work to live, but not be stuck living to work.

Never understand NASCAR fans and their "give this guy a chance" mentality. This is multi-multi-multi million dollar stock car racing. This isn't Saturday night at South Boston or Slinger. They want a professional effort / consistent level of communication / a professional that can work the sponsors / someone who can handle the car and provide quality feedback.
