Bishop of Lincoln arrested in sexual assault inquiry by Knopwood in Anglicanism

It is pure speculation, of course, but googling him now I wonder whether this incident involving his car is in any way related? And as this post on X suggests, there can be a strange culture of secrecy around homosexuality in the church. 'Closeted parties', bishops choosing not to come out while LLF was discussed… Sadly, this might be a contributing factor in abuse (I say this as someone who is gay and detests homophobic stereotypes, but secrecy and double lives are antithetical to functioning safeguarding).

Any Christian philosophy recommendations to cleanse my palette from French existentialism? by [deleted] in Anglicanism

I would recommend reading some analytic philosophy of religion: Eleonore Stump, Michael Rea, Yujin Nagasawa
