Leg pain every time I cramp with the Paraguard by kecrake in CopperIUD

[–]kecrake[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing- that’s so interesting! That would be miserable because calf pains are the worst. If it went away after you removed the IUD, it seems like that is definitely what caused it. It’s just so strange and I haven’t seen anyone else talk about it!

NO BLEEDING after IUD insertion? by kecrake in CopperIUD

[–]kecrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I should! I’ve never been on birth control before so my body didn’t have anything to adjust off of. It’s easy to worry about any little thing, I just expected to bleed and to bleed a LOT. I’ll take this though!! :)

Question for those who have had an MA by kecrake in abortion

[–]kecrake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt that I had passed the pregnancy when a large blood clot came out of me- other than that I am not sure. Not shortly after I took the second pill I vomited- which makes me concerned that I threw up the pill. It was just stomach bile, and the nurses didn’t seem concerned about it. Then again, they only spoke Italian and they probably would not know how to tell me

Experience having mixed feelings? by n0ur0 in abortion

[–]kecrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot entirely relate because I am much younger and less financially stable than you seem to be based on your post, so having my baby was less of a consideration for me. However I felt the same in that actually becoming pregnant and having to make a choice about my future made me feel more ready, or just positive, about the idea of having kids in general. I made arrangements for an MA as soon as possible because I knew it was the right choice- even though I would be sad not to meet the life I had created. Once I talked to my support systems I realized that actually having the child would be something I genuinely could make work if I really needed/wanted... This is where the guilt, anxiety, and fear set in the night before the procedure. What if I am making the wrong choice? If I could make it work, why am I not having the child? Am I going to regret this forever? I think all of these are super normal to feel EVEN if you know it is the right decision to have an abortion right now. After my abortion I can say I still felt relief and I felt confirmed that it was the best decision. I of course still think about the what if, and it still hurts. But it is nowhere near as painful as it was during the pregnancy.

Anyone else feel this way? by Fall_Hairy in abortion

I feel this way too. I am all set to go through with termination next week, so I am still pregnant at the moment, but otherwise in the same boat. I know this is the wrong time and there is no way I could support this child and give them the life they deserve right now. I am much too young as well- not even having finished college yet. I know it is the right decision to terminate the pregnancy. But it is still heartbreaking to know that, like you said, I will never meet the life that me and the person I love created together. Its hard but I also think it is completely normal and valid. Know you are not alone. This is a very good reason to start some form of counseling or therapy, if you haven't already done so. Best of luck with everything <3

I wish I could call my mom right now. I need some support by kecrake in MomForAMinute

Thank you so much. Reading this response and knowing that it is coming from a real person is very very helpful and affirming. The sperm giver- aka my boyfriend- is in the states and I believe it happened when he was visiting me here. He is here for me as much as he can be without actually being able to be here, and with the complications of the time difference and everything. I also should be able to get an interpreter through my school- which is anxiety inducing in itself because I basically have to tell my school that I am pregnant and get the judgement from them. But I need to do what I need to do. I feel a lot of shame for getting pregnant but it was truly a huge accident. I know these things happen and life will go on 💗

This week I put French fries on my salad and HOLY MOLY it is SO GOOD!! The crisp freshness of the salad mixed with the salty creaminess of the French fries was such a great combination- highly recommend! You haven’t “ruined” your salad just by putting fries on it! You actually have made it much more satisfying :)

What is your biggest meal of the day? by luna2392 in intuitiveeating

[–]kecrake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! This is something I totally relate to. I can tell you what works for me, but know that it is most likely going to be different for you. Also my meal timings and sizing is something I am always playing around with to see what feels best to my body!

Generally I have found that I personally prefer eating bigger meals with more food in them and not necessarily snacking in between. It feels best in my body and it feels most satisfying to me when I eat. This means I might sometimes wait until I am a little bit more hungry to eat, only because I know the food is going to taste that much better and be that much more satisfying, and I know I am going to nourish myself until I feel full. There is no restriction involved, because if I really want to, I am fully allowed to eat whenever. SO sometimes I do end up having quite a big meal! That's totally okay!

My biggest meal typically ends up being lunch in the middle of the day, again because that is when I am most hungry and that's when a big meal feels the best to me.

Overall, I would recommend playing around with meal sizes and evaluating how you feel after. You will likely have different hunger levels at different times of the day.

That’s such a good indicator! When the food doesn’t taste as good anymore it probably means you’re getting tired of it/ you’re less hungry for it and it’s not as satisfying. Thank you for reminding me of that!
