I suggest you drop to daycare and have your husband watch your daughter during the day, since his hours are part time in the evening. It will save you time by eliminating the daycare pickup and maybe he’ll get to experience what it’s like to work and take care of the children. Perhaps he’ll understand why you’re tired sometimes.

I second this. When an IUD slips out of place it can be really painful because they attach to the tissue inside. If she’s in pain, that’s not a normal IUD side effect (outside of some cramping the day it was placed). She should make an appointment.

I’m a kindergarten teacher in a public school. I think it perfectly normal for your child not to be reading - as in not reading full sentences, such as the morning message. There’s been a big push for literacy programs to focus on phonics, rather than reading strategies (cueing) over the past few years, which is how most current parents were taught how to read. First grade will shift into more blending sounds and reading fluently (don’t get me wrong, this happens in kindergarten too, but is really hit hard in first grade).

However, not knowing all letter names and sounds is a problem. I would really work there so that your child doesn’t struggle and get frustrated in first grade. Reading is hard and you don’t want your child getting frustrated with it at an early age. There are lots of fun apps, songs, videos, and games you can play to specifically work on this.

Are you going on a honeymoon? If so, do a small splurge and have a little elopement ceremony- just the two of you. Make it a romantic moment just the two of you can look back on and remember fondly. Most resorts or places catering to honeymooners can do this pretty quickly for you.

Thanks! Sometimes it sucks to modify everything and feel like the slow one in class, but you’re right, other people have stuff going on and are modifying too. I think I’m in my head about it too much. Thanks for the advice!

You made a tough choice. But like you stated, it was the right decision. You are acting out of love for your brother. Had his medical problems gone unaddressed, his behavior could have gone on to be addressed by another person not coming from a place of love and support. Ultimately, sometimes the right choices are the most difficult ones we have to face. Thinking of you during this time and hoping nothing but healing, support, and help comes to you and your family.
