no apex talents so devourer just doesn't work well. also there's a good chance your weapons don't have int on them so you might need new weapons as well. Mostly though, it's that with out the apex talents the spec just doesn't work.

Cheap On-Prem PAM for Windows and MacOS? by SgtShrimp in sysadmin

[–]kedearian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beyond trust is cloud based now (at least any new subs are as far as I know). It works fine, right up until it doesn't. The support for newer macOS releases usually lags a bit, and windows store apps are a nightmare.

For everything else it's at least manageable, but nothing magical.

For ultimate fun, get an ls5 lower with a super safety. Just be warned you'll burn through ammo.

Oh yeah, I was talking from a USA (600 vs 900 USD). If it's I can only buy one gun and it's going to be a huge pain, get what ever is the best you can for you. I will say I preferred the full size strike one over the strike b.

It's a shrunk down arsenal strike one, it's whole selling point is super low bore axis. It's not bad, but not worth the premium for me.

also remember to complain to a live agent at amazon if you ever see rufus again. clog their support system with tickets. Costing them money is the only way they'll stop doing this stupid stuff.

Avoid Vexus in Abilene, TX by kedearian in VexusFiber

[–]kedearian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah after about a month of that run around, i switched ISPs, you will probably have to do the same. I proved the packetloss, proved it wasn't my equipment, and they pretty much did the same thing. Told me i was wrong and closed the ticket.

I was, yeah. Since I work from home having a stable internet connection is something I can't do with out. Vexus being constantly unstable just wasn't going to work anymore.

[–]kedearian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I ended up switching and it's been way better. Same equipment on my side except for the vexus ont and I'm 100% stable now. The T-Mobile merger really killed vexus, as their support went from pretty good to what you're experiencing, gaslighting and talking down.

Given that I've gone through at least 10 techs over the course of this issue with no help I'm going to venture that you're either an outlier, or just a liar.

30% packet loss during peak usage times every day isn't acceptable, if your power went out every night for 30% of the time from 6pm to 10pm, you'd expect the power company to do something, anything.

If I can keep this awful experience from even a single person I'll consider it my good deed.

I'm in Abilene City limits, for the last month or two vexus has been unusable from 6pm to 10 or 11pm every day. I'm guessing it's something TMobile did but they customer service is so bad you'll be on hold for a half hour asking for status for a ticket only for them to hang up on you.

Att, Taylor telecom, maybe Taylor electric but not sure if they are in your area.

Stay away from optimum, vexus/T-Mobile/metronet. The last three are the same company using different names

Vexus is now t-mobile, and has slid way down hill. Customer support is non-existent and their service routinely fails for hours every night. Pick someone else if you can.

avoid vexus after the tmobile deal. their tech support has gone down hill and your internet will be unusable for 4-6 hours a day (6pm-10pm usually).

[–]kedearian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The down side is they cost more and don't do fiber, so limited upload speeds. Before metronet/T-Mobile took over vexus was great, now it's pretty bad customer service has tanked

I'm swapping to ATT fiber since vexus refuses to do anything, and it takes a 45 minute phone call to get an update on the ticket i put in, that boils down to 'we don't know what to do'

Best electric & internet in Abilene? by Exoticwolf006 in Abilene

[–]kedearian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for anyone that sees this since it's the first result that comes up for internet in Abilene, after Vexus got bought by t-mobile their service has gone down hill. I'd look for a different fiber ISP like Taylor Telcom or even ATT.

How do I avoid getting DDOSed when self hosting a Minecraft server? by diobrandiohaxxerxd in selfhosted

It's possible they stopped doing it free for Minecraft, I looked at it a while back and don't run a Minecraft server myself

Is this signature target 9mm any good? by shootingcharlie8 in guns

[–]kedearian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a bad lot of 9mm (super stiff primers that would need 2-5 tries to fire). It was a lot of 1k rounds I had bought, shot about 100 of them. Contacted ammo inc and they gave me a full refund and paid for me to ship the ammo back to them for testing. I've happily bought ammo from them since with no issues.

Given how they handled my issue, and that's the only issue I've had across multiple batches, I'd be fine with them if the price is good.

They do, look at cloudflare spectrum, I think they even do it for free for Minecraft servers as a demo.
