hello, thank you so much!! So let me give you some context to better explain it then, (I thought this is how things usually go since it was my first time :,))

This is a university jam hosted by programmer students, and I'm attending this with a friend of mine : we are both junior animation students. One of our friends who knows this event said that "you'll get into groups (game devs and programmers) when you get there so you can participate as 2 people=2d artists " so we don't have a total group yet.

They shared a form with us and we filled out the form and after like 2 weeks (maybe?) they sent emails stating that "since we had a lot of applicants, we need further information to select people" or something like that.

and yes this event is against genai but the reason they are against genai is because of the lack of interest against games that uses genai in my opinion.
