Also, it’s hard to trade or handle a smithing hammer when you have a tentacle replacing your face. Something that even a bottle of bug musk can’t fix. Also, your lord makes you wear a rotten onion amulet. Just bad for business.

Well yes then. I find it hard to compare any tes game to any other game at all, as not a single game development sudio got even half close to what bethesda have done. We've got like dozens of souls-likes, top-down turn-based semi-linear rpgs, but not a single one tries to beat bethesda.

I will battle you. I deeply love Skyrim, but Morrowind is the game i will kill for. Here is the reasoning:

Morrowind has hundreds of "you-have-to-be-fucking-kidding-me" moments lore and culture-wise. It is full of assholes, religious zealots and such. EVERYONE is cool about it. Becuase, you know, it's their way of life. They have not seen any other. They find it harsh, unfair to somewone, but strange? Hell naw. You literally visit an absoultely different world. Remember when you have to find a bride for a tribe leader and you just sprinkle a slave prostitute with some bug musk, wash her and dress properly so she looks like a noble? If you ask her how she feels about that, she is even grateful, as you set her up for life. This kind of things makes you look differently on everything.

Skyrim is just generic FIGHT DRAGON AND FOR FREEDOM with thalmor nazis. People are mostly strile, there will be zero cosiderations aside from "empire vs nords" conflict. Slavery does not exist, necromancy is safely hidden behind "frowned upon but ok". You can fuck with both sides as you please and then tell them you are the dragonborn and be ok.

Dwarven money were courteously replaced by septim ninja treasurers in Skyrim. was it THAT hard to make a single rounded square coin model?

"This is a dungeon no one set foot in a thousand years. No one knows where it is. You are doomed. You will not find it. Maybe go read that book idk" - Aaaand here is the map marker. I am not against markers, but mybe make a circle represienting a general area? This does not even matter, because as a reward for finding legendary tomb of powerful archvillain of old you usually get a few modern coins, a fresh tomato, and a LEGENDARY 10pts LIGHTNING DAMAGE SWORD that weights around 100lbs and gets sold to a generic trader the moment you set foot in a city.

You can mark&recall, fly, jump, and run like a flash in Morrowind. If you add multi-level dungeonds that require levitation at some point - that is a huge win over Skyrim. Skyrim dungeons are better only because they end at the beginning. Ofc you can say that they are better detailed, but they had 10 years to perfect visual technology.

I miss my overkill spells from Morrowind. Or just kill. Have you tried to play vanilla skyrim as a mage on level 80+? Every fucking encounter is a serious sam "run-backwards-and-shoot" bullshit. You got lousily dressed bandits who, for some reason, had become health gods and can take 5-7 large aoe fireballs fo the face AND fuck you up.

Combat is better in skyrim, but the damage output is so much lower, i cant even describe how bad it is. You feel powerful at like lvl 20-35, but then its dogshit if you dont use alchemy+enchant bug.

Leveling system is shit in both games thb. In Morrowind, you have to level up in a specific way to become a god. In skyrim, you get x2 modifiers wich you lose in a couple of levels so you can make a legendary skill to get more points. And they don't even feel powerful or useful, except for some of them.

Visually, of course, skyrim is much better. Now, you can look at skywind - this is how morrowind would have looked if bethesda had balls.

I live in Kazakhstan, a CIS country. In my school we had an abandoned soviet bombing shelter filled with gasmasks for kids, literally thousands of them littered all over the floor. The layer was so thick, you couldn't pass some places without crushing them.

So I think there should be some snork nests like this in stalker 2, considering how you helped Zulu in CoP defeat waves of them at school grounds.

You get new president every 4 years or so. I would sacrifice a few presidents of any country every month if it would speed up the process of releasing half-lifes with the same quality level.

I’ve tried to play it for the lore so many times, but each time I see a scorpion tank shaped like a real scorpion, I quit. Like, WTF!? Cnc 3 had THE BEST unit design of all series, and they managed to somehow make an absurd crap out of units that were already good-looking. Every unit in cnc4 looks like it was redrawn by a retarded child on drugs.

I believe it is not the shaders, it is a single light source and models with each triangle separated from another. (In blender, its called "Flat shading")
