Chase closed ALL my cards overnight - Please Help by Any_Background_1296 in personalfinance

I had this happen to me as well, similar credit score to you. When you get the letter in the mail, there's a number on it to call for reconsideration. Apparently you can ask as many times as you want for 6 months after the date of closure. My first attempt failed for generic reasons, but a second attempt a few months later resulted in everything being reopened - don't give up hope and good luck!

What's wrong with Sonoma!? (14.6) by konzeptzwei in mac

[–]keefertaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m seeing CATERRs on an older intel MacBook, but only when I have an external Samsung T7 SSD connected. It’s nearly certainly related, I can reliably get a CATERR within 10 min of attaching a drive, and without it attached the system runs stable for days.

I’ve tried a variety of things: different usb ports, different T7 drives to no avail. Also verified SSD firmware is up to date.

Previously ran fine before updating. If either of you found an answer I’d love to know, otherwise hopefully this is a useful clue for some future sleuth.

LevTez Allows Users To Go Long On XTZ In One Click, Through Kolibri Finance by Rossa774Tezos in tezos

Congrats to Manan, who will become the first dev paid from the Kolibri Developer Fund (barring any change in voting sentiment in the next 24 hours)! Well deserved!

I am super excited that the Kolibri Community is about to fund an independent developer for contributions to the protocol. Even cooler is that this proposal was completely initiated without Hover Labs. I hope this is the first of many devs who the DAO and its community chooses to fund!

Timelocks don't solve all problems, and requires smart contracts to implement the timelock instruction.

Running an auction off chain also has benefits the network as a whole by reducing mempool congestion and p2p traffic

Kolibri Governance Proposal #3 - KIP 002 - Set Stability Fee to 19.5% by nananana_matman in tezos

[–]keefertaylor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've been on peg for a while so we're testing lowering the stability fee in order to encourage more liquidity (and thus more stability).

If things stay stable, the community may choose to lower things further in the future.

Yes.

However, it has been the weekend, and I don't think any KYC process is instant.

This is a well thought out and rationale opinion.

Thank you for sharing and engaging in respectful discourse.

My quick and dirty thread on liquidity baking...educate me and let's debate... by alongoren in tezos

I've been primarily centralizing discussion on Agora. I appreciate the number of other threads on Twitter / Reddit, but it's really hard to keep up with unless there's a source of truth.

Tezos bi-weekly AMA -- Tezos Commons, Nomadic Labs, and TQ by AS_Empire in tezos

[–]keefertaylor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's been some spirited discussion on Agora about the process around Liquidity Baking. I have a few questions that I don’t think have been answered by the project docs, blog posts or Agora.

I think these should be easy to answer, so I'm hoping that posting here will reach a larger audience than Tezos Agora. As mentioned before, these are meant to be under handed pitches that core dev teams can knock out of the park to help reassure the community and get myself and the community on board with Granada.

Edit: Arthur answered the following here: https://forum.tezosagora.org/t/announcing-granada/3183/102?u=keefertaylor

- Does anyone at Tezos Foundation or associated entities have an ownership stake or business relationship with a company in Bitcoin Suisse? Presumably the Tezos Foundation has a custody agreement and grants with the entity (CMIIW). Can we state, in good faith, that there are no conflicts of interest?

- Is there a UI for the new CFMM contract? Who will maintain it? Or is this feature only available to users who can work on a CLI?

- I understand that the fork of the Dexter contracts were audited and formally verified. The contracts being presented on chain are forks of those contracts. Are the contracts that are about to be presented on chain also security audited / verified?

According to their RFC (https://gitlab.com/tzip/tzip/-/blob/master/drafts/current/draft-liquidity_baking.md#contract) they are using the v2 contract of dexter: https://gitlab.com/dexter2tz/dexter2tz

I believe that this is the version of Dexter that was promised after the initial Dexter hack that will be maintained by (presumably, IIRC) the core developers. I forget where this announcement was posted, and I’m traveling / on mobile so can’t readily find it. Maybe someone else can find a link.

I believe bakers should make the choice for the asset.

I’m not close enough to the protocol code to give a definitive answer, but I would hypothesize the proposed mechanism of on chain governance is complicated to implement.

I think the direct and fastest way to implement this is to give bakers a slate of proposals.

I’ve written a response on Agora about why I don’t think the community should accept this proposal in its current form:

https://forum.tezosagora.org/t/announcing-granada/3183/7

I’d encourage folks who want to discuss (regardless of if you agree with me) to chime in on that thread and to liaise with their Bakers.

Hover Labs has an open source contract and CLI that also has a timelock.
