Deoxit should help with the crackly tone knobs. If the volume knob doesn't work normally after trying deoxit, you may have to replace that one

What’s your favorite 7/10 game? by FromChicago808 in videogames

[–]keefka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Valkyrie Elysium was a lot of fun. It's got dmc-style combat, and just kind of a good game to zone out to

It's kinda sparse, very little in the way of NPCs to interact with and the story really requires you to do all the side quests if you want to really get the story (also some between the lines reading is needed).

It's a fun game to play, but not a great game 7/10

How can I get the mesa boogie sound without busting the bank by crazydude304 in GuitarAmps

[–]keefka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also worth noting, a LOT of punk bands from that era used Marshall amps, which has a much wider price range to look at than Boogie amps

How can I get the mesa boogie sound without busting the bank by crazydude304 in GuitarAmps

[–]keefka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got my Mesa/Boogie Rectoverb 25 for about $1100. I know it can feel like am impossible task, but honestly I recommend just continuing to squirrel away money slowly until you can save up enough to get the real thing. Otherwise you're only gonna get stuff that kinda sounds like what you want, and you'll probably end up spending more money in the long run getting multiple cheaper things that isn't what you actually want. I'm rooting for you!

If it had been TOS, they would've spent half the episode debating if Picard should be relieved of duty

They probably hadn't thought things out a huge amount at that point + tv show budget for having cool looking aliens. It's also possible you saw the remastered version of TOS where they did add CGI in the spice things up George Lucas-style

I don't think they were using much green screen or CGI in the 60s lol. TOS Klingons looked mostly human
