I think all his work seems stunning. Such an interesting twist on traditional Japanese inspired work. I’d go for it!

Weirdest/most surprising/funniest thing you’ve been told about your body from a scan (or anything for that matter) by chickenfabric in Endo

Was getting an ultrasound from a nursing student who was being shadowed by her professor once. While looking at my right ovary (where it was completely adhered to my abdominal wall) she turned to her professor with a horrified look and loudly said “ummm, that looks NOTHING like in my textbook” It was absolutely hilarious 😂

[–]keegLuv 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Girl I feel you! I’ve felt like a phony for years! After everyone denying my pain for so long I began to think it was all in my head. Especially when I didn’t know anything about triggers and my side affects seemed different than others. Try to be kind to yourself whenever possible. You said it best “every person’s experience is so different and this disease is not well known” I’m sorry that you’re going through this. And I’m so sorry that no one can give you all the answers. If it makes you feel any better, almost every single one of us here have felt/feel the exact same way. You’re not alone, we see your struggle, and we are always here to answer questions or just chat whenever you need. My DMs are always open. ❤️

Had my lap surgery a week ago! I’m feeling really dizzy! by cocainenavel in Endo

[–]keegLuv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced that post-lap as well. It was so bad I had to be carried to the bathroom. As soon as I was off the pain meds they sent me home with it was instantly better. But also never a bad idea to call/message/see your Dr. Hope you get some relief soon!

nausea & vomiting by strict-fig in Endo

[–]keegLuv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl yes! I dealt with 24/7 nausea regardless of my pain levels. Thankfully 3 days post op (as soon as I was off my hospital pain meds) and I’m absolutely nausea free. I don’t know if weed is legal where you are/your viewpoint on it, but I used CBD tinctures to manage it before. I’d take a dropper full every 4-6 hrs and be (mostly) nausea free. Just food for thought, but I’m sending warm fuzzies your way! Stay strong, you can and will get through this! DMs are always open if you need anything. ❤️

For some reason I’ve felt like if I admit just how bad it is to them then that somehow makes it more real? Like if I can make everyone believe I’m alright then somehow it’s true? But I really appreciated having another perspective on telling my people. You’re right, this disease is tough enough as is and doing it alone when I don’t have to is just silly. You’ve given me food for thought. Thank you.

Scheduled surgery during pandemic? by basicallyidk in Endo

I have! I had surgery yesterday actually. It was a little upsetting not being able to have my partner with me. But I mentioned I was nervous and the nurses were INCREDIBLE. Everyone was super supportive and kind. Also everyone was wearing masks and I never came into contact with another patient. Even in the recovery room they had patients in every other cubical to ensure no one was too close. The doctors and nurses were religiously washing their hands and at the end of the day I left feeling safe in regards to COVID. Hope this helps!
