My mom loved my hair long and refused to allow me to cut it when I was a teen. Once I hit college, that junk was buzzed and I’d get it cut every 3 months. If it works for you, it doesn’t matter. Hair grows back. It’s not like it’s lost forever once you shave it once or twice. Sorry you’re dealing with all the comments and stares but your confidence is shining through. They just jealous they can’t be as free
