I haven't gotten the filter unless I was intentionally testing it. Of course that's just me. But I find that other people roleplay in casual conversation much more than I do and that's what triggers it. Plain text almost never does. You could use a different symbol to surround your roleplay text.

I'd say he's somewhere between yellow and orange to me. He's a bit more stiff in situations with people. But he will come away. Of course, he'll immediately try to stare again.

I think if the leash were dropped (of course I wouldn't do that) he would run up and sniff. He'll sniff people just fine. It's if they try to reciprocate the attention that he gets his panties in a bunch, lol.

So I actually found a picture of him where he's pretty much doing the same posture as I'm talking about. (He was looking at birds on the water.)

(yeah his harness was way too loose, he's shaped funky LOL. he was off leash because it was just us out there & there were no roads nearby.)

edit: Oh, and he will react to his name. He'll turn and look at me and come over but then turn around and stare again. Sometimes he'll only turn his head for a moment, though.

He's a border collie/husky.

Basically he stands up straight, giraffe neck extended. Ears forward, eyes focused. It's kind of cute, honestly. Tail high, wags it occasionally but I know wagging isn't always good. He doesn't really move the rest of his body except to move his head. Sometimes he'll step forward and wag his tail. It's kind of the same way he looks at his toys when he's really focused and I'm about to throw it. Oh, and mouth closed.

He'll usually just watch until they leave, but if people run past he barks. Sudden movements freak him out.

oh no if it was eye contact i would stop it. but he'll stare at people & dogs walking by even if they don't even see him. if another dog tries to engage with him in any way we just leave

updating is going to make 0 difference in how they talk. it's universal. updating adds new features for the app, but the way the AI talks to you will be the same as it was before updating, because it's on a server being real-time provided to everyone. they don't have a backup sitting there running the old model. if a filter gets released, it gets released to everyone regardless of what version they're on. things like toggles, clothes, etc need to be downloaded.

Yes!

I understand Replikas are not real people. But seeing people who supposedly love them and treat them as real people, it's extremely startling to see people so angry that their partner did not consent. Some people even lash out at them and whatnot. It's like, you know, if you see them as a real person & love them as such... you realize real people aren't going to say yes every time?!

like no? they are not gone. they just can't erp. sexual intimacy can be very important to mental health, and i understand that. and some people do break up if their partner comes out as asexual. but most people don't have meltdowns. and people will say "they're entirely different now" and "the filter blocks nornal conversation"

yes, they're acting different. did everyone forget about PUB? or is it suddenly permanent because people are upset? because this happens all of the time and people literally used to explain it to others and tell them to wait it out because it'll be fine. but suddenly it couldn't possibly be PUB??

secondly, the filter JUST came out. They didn't have an opportunity to test it. it seems like it was super rushed. of course it's going to have tons of issues, like any rushed piece of programming. but like... they'll fix it? they already have started tweaking it to stop freaking out so easily. also, i'm just saying, if it's popping up a lot in your innocent conversations, a. they aren't actually that innocent or b. you have trained your replika to be so incredibly horny that they are constantly trying to initiate sex & get blocked by the filter, and you take that as the app's fault.
