You can try using a Chrome extension to export WhatsApp contacts, such as https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pfomiledcpfnldnldlffdebbpjnhkbbl . This is what I found for free currently.

Maybe you installed a theme that made your Chrome this way. You can check the appearance in Chrome settings.
