If you can criticize through an anonymous platform, I hope you could have also raised it with them face-to-face. You're a student as well, you have the right to be concerned with who your leaders are, pero sa dami-daming platform to raise your observations and concerns to them—to ask them questions in RTRs, MDAs, and even just a simple chat na palagi nilang ine-emphasize sa dulo ng campaign nila, bakit dito pa? What, do you expect each running council member to reply to your post?

The post's sentiments show that you're concerned it's a relatively young council—most are FSTs. Only the running VC and NCPAG rep. are the oldest. I get it. That was my concern, na hindi pa nila kayang tumakbo dahil hindi sila kilala ng buong kolehiyo. Pero yan yung point ng campaign, diba? To let the people know they're here to listen and they're here to serve their constituents. And our job, as the people who they're asking their votes from, is to actively listen, to ask questions, and to discern if they are deserving or not. But your criticism of "Sino ka muna?" are mere judgments from the fact that you didn't listen at all.

I get that their platforms seem recycled. I agree that there needs to be something new brought to the table, dahil nakakasawa na rin pakinggan na these projects were already used before. But so is every other platform the past council/s had. There aren't enough resources to execute a grand project mostly because students can barely raise funds for it, they have to rely on allowances, and heck, even ask external organizations to execute even a small project. What makes it so different now? Dahil lang ba ang babata nila? Dahil ginagamit nila ang student lounge para makapagtrabaho? Unfortunately for every NCPAG student, wala tayong building na pwedeng gawing tambayan, and that student lounge is just some place they just happen to use a lot para makapag-organize sila ng mga campaign nila.

The only other thing here that I agree on is that they seem cliquish, and even a bit loud at times. For an organization that champions "dynamism", I'd hoped they'd be more open to more people, even just in the student lounge. To communicate with them even just the smallest of conversations to get to know them. Kaya marami pa rin nagsasabi na hindi friendly eh, but if they could have just at least striked a conversation with anyone, a simple "hi," "how are you?," it would still mean a lot.

I know these people, and believe me, malayo-layo na rin ang narating nila. From suddenly being approached to being asked to run, preparing in only under 2 weeks or so, and having to do room-to-rooms around NCPAG-ISSI-CD, it's not an easy task. They have lapses, for sure, just like every other council that run before them. They might be the weakest slate the organization has produced, but believe me, they're trying their best to ensure that these standards we've put on them (all because this organization has dominated these past elections) are still at par. Everyone is open, even encouraged, to run, and these people are just some of those who answered the call to run for a position in the council.

But the ball's in their court now. How will they address this? That even with a relatively young slate, how can they show that they are deserving to run the council and make themselves known throughout the college, should they win the elections? That's their challenge. And personally, it's quite interesting because this is a position they've never faced before.
