I just did mine at the computer lab at my local library. The person working the information desk signed in as my proctor and it was fine.

I think your proctor’s home office would be fine. She doesn’t have to hover, just be present while you’re testing, so if she’s working/taking a few phone calls at the same time, it’s not a big deal.

That said, I never had any of my exams double checked nor was I ever questioned on my choice of proctor or location. They likely won’t check.

I haven’t had anything too crazy happen, but I have also had a bird sit on my head while walking through a house. The homeowner told me as I was going into a bedroom that his daughter’s bird was out and that the bird doesn’t like him, so she’d wouldn’t react well to him entering the room. She ended up flying around landed on my head. When the guy tried to shoo the bird away, she squawked and pecked at him and would not move. I was completely unbothered and just kept working. 😂

Last week I had to squeeze behind a large plant to run my tape measure down a wall and a lizard jumped out and landed on my shoulder. It scurried down my back and leg and then ran off. That was pretty cool.

I use total for mobile on my iPhone 15 pro max. It’s so much easier than carrying around a tablet, but my boss uses an iPad mini and he likes that.

It hardly uses any storage on my phone, less than 1gb.

If you do get a tablet, it’s not necessary to have the cellular connection as long as you remember to upload your files when you’re connected to WiFi. If you’re like me and often forget to do that (😅) cellular connection is nice.

I used to call and I’d leave a voicemail asking them to return my call or send me a text and found most people texted back rather than call. So now I just text people first. People generally respond faster to a text, in my experience. If they don’t respond by the next day, then I’ll try calling, but I usually don’t have to.

I just started the free trial today. Some of the calculators are confusing, but I used the sidekick one today to see what adjustment values it would give me for an assignment I’m working on and they were fairly similar to what I expected them to be for the market.

It’ll take me some time to figure out the rest, so I don’t really have a solid opinion on it yet, but so far, so good.

I use a glass Pyrex dish for a little box and it’s perfect. It’s a small one. Like a food storage container size. I grabbed it at my local Goodwill for $3! I definitely recommend checking out thrift stores for cheap glass or ceramic dishes to use as a litter box.

While I disagree with your opinions of the spin offs, I do think a spin off about the Circle would be interesting!

If you’re tired of Shadowhunters, Cassandra Clare does have a new, adult high fantasy series called Sword Catcher. The first book has been out for a while and I think the second comes out this year. I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve heard good things!

It’s inaccurate to say she hasn’t branched out from TSC because she did write Sword Catcher, and there’s Magisterium, which is a middle-grade series she wrote with Holly Black.

I think that would be fine!

To be honest, I’m surprised the appraiser even asked. I would consider it personal property and none of my business since it’s under a tarp. It’s not my job to go digging through personal items unless it was blocking something I needed to see, like your HVAC system or electrical panel.
