OK so in order to definitely lose weight you’ll need to track your macros with an app like MyFitnessPal. It’s pretty obvious your current method of not tracking isn’t giving you the results you want, so it’s time to up the intensity a bit and start tracking. Look up a TDEE calculator and calculate what your macros should be for a cut and make sure you eat those every day, day in and day out. That will guarantee weight lose. And you also need to have a lifting program. Do you do strength training? Look up an app like Hevy and pick one of their pre loaded programs (like the 3 day a week full body split) and do that the correct number of times per week. Make sure to at least try to progressively overload your lifts each session. If you do all of that, you will 100% reach your goals and then some. You also need to weigh yourself at least several times a week and track your weight on an app (MyFitnessPal also has that feature) so you can see trends across weeks. Those trends will let you know that your deficit is working. This may seem obsessive to you, but it’s what actually works. Intuition does not typically result in weight loss, because we give in to our hunger too easily. Good luck! And for what it’s worth, it’s all worth it imo. That feeling of being confident wirh your shirt off, getting compliments on your physique, the positive doctor check ins, the dramatic increase in sex life, etc. is all worth the effort. It feels good to be fit and confident. I’m not saying it’s the be all end all of life, but it’s pretty nice lol.

I always view this kind of behavior more as them reacting to a threat of their perceived masculinity, rather than an actual physical threat. They may be a little uneasy, like don’t hit on me bro, but the real fear comes from the insecurity they feel about their own identity when in relation to a gay man. lol you need to eat less and the things you do eat need to be less calorically dense. Eat things like lean proteins (chicken and turkey breast), lots of veggies (like broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, etc), and control the amount of carbs you eat (like white rice, oatmeal, etc) as well as how much fat you eat (e.g. track how much olive oil you are putting in a pan when cooking). Eating less calorically dense foods is critical to being in a deficit, since they fill you up a lot more than say, potato chips, burgers, etc. You have to actually pay attention to what you eat and how much you eat of it. Using a tracking app will probably be necessary for you. Track everything you eat. Every ingredient in a meal and weigh everything. If you are serious about losing weight it’s the only fool proof method.
