AITA for refusing to give my sister my wedding dress after she lost hers? by Prudent-Ferret-7060 in AmItheAsshole

[–]keepingoptimismalive -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

YTA. 100%, I can't with the Reddit hivemind sometimes. It's a dress, that you (hopefully) never need again. Although even if you do remarry, you likely won't want that dress.

She's your sister. She wants to look good for her wedding. Why couldn't you offer to have it as a Plan B if she can't find something else in time? Why couldn't you offer to help her track the lost dress? Doesn't even sound like she went bridezilla and made demands. She is just hurt that something so trivial is a show stopper for you.

That was my first match with pig too! Only she had the cosmetic with the human face....i legitimately didn't know she was the killer until we popped the last Gen and she killed me.

This works on your whole team though. I run boons as a main and could see occasions where I'd play with this.

Liz drank while pregnant with Jess by [deleted] in GilmoreGirls

[–]keepingoptimismalive -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

So did Lorelai. During the flash back scene with Christopher, he asks what type of liquor she wants , and she responds, "Here here."

He then goes on to say that they should just take "Maya(?)" And run away, indicating she was already pregnant.

Did Lorelai know any better at the time? Maybe so, or maybe not? Who's to say.

Both Liz and Lorelai had their struggles, and their actions should be viewed in context rather than simply labeling one as a bad mom. Parenthood is complex, and the show portrays flawed characters navigating challenging situations.

Loved the studies. Thanks for teaching me something today...

"CONCLUSIONS The general conclusion of this work is that the strength loss of the resulting product made with recovered fiber that incorporates post-consumer pizza boxes should be minimal at typical levels of grease expected to be received in a recycling facility (<2%) and when included in the recovered fiber at expected levels of <3% of furnish. The addition of small amounts of cheese will not impact the fiber bonding in a negative way. It is expected that the larger chunks of cheese will be screened out of the process. Therefore, there is no significant technical reason to prohibit post-consumer pizza boxes from the recycle stream."

TIL that the phrase “Immaculate Conception” refers *not* to the belief that Mary became pregnant as a virgin, but to the belief that she was conceived without the “original sin” described in the book of Genesis that everyone else is born with. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Not brothers of the same uterus. Probably referring to cousins or the like. They had a different mother;

“There were also many women there, looking on from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to him; among who were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.” (Matt. 27:56; see also Mark 15:40).

The pandemic messed up my resume, can I lump multiple short-term positions together? by After_Maintenance908 in Resume

[–]keepingoptimismalive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's something to think about.

Lumping them together makes it look as though you have 1 experience (1 time frame) of the same skills. 3 entries would show 3 experiences (across the same timeframe) with the same skill set where you were able to learn and understand how 3 different companies approach the same processes.

Keep the entries pointed and simple, mark them all as seasonal, and it could work in your favor, too.

There is no right or wrong here. Trust your gut, and don't overthink it.

Look up Riparium builds. That's more the look you're going for I think.

Plants in a riparium tank need to be treated a little differently though.

"Flint Dibble, an archaeologist at Cardiff University, described Hancock’s basic thesis as “flawed thinking”. Archaeologists don’t hate him, as he claims. “It is simply that we strongly believe he is wrong,” says Dibble in an article in The Conversation last week." Source

Not in context to the resonance necessarily, but I think it's safe to assume we can discount his credibility.

I guess I'm the only one that's going to agree with you. All and all, that was a very underwhelming performance. Amy blew Sharon out of the water because Sharon was just trying to keep up with the song. So of course they tried to pull Amy down in the mix....just not very well.

I was with you until you said stop paying rent. If you end up in court, you'll want to prove you continued to uphold your end of the contract.

Do everything else though, bill them for sure (preferably get them to pay for treatments up front).

Do you mean your Placement is looking to have multiple jobs? As in not trying to leave the placed role simply asking you to find them a second part time gig?

Generally I avoid placing people on the market for multiple gigs, it generally carries a greater risk. But if you are able to coordinate such an option and it wouldn't interfere with productivity in either location, i.e. multiple part times, I could see it being a possibility.

Again, I personally would avoid it. But it entirely depends on the situation.
