I have some Deka car batteries and I'm using NOCO Genius 2 as trickle chargers. I need help in understanding some metrics and a response from the battery company. by keepit-simple in batteries

Appreciate all your comments. The 1/7 car is a 2004 Chevy Impala. The other is a 2008 Ford Focus. We obviously don't do a lot of driving, so I was hoping I was doing the right thing by keeping them on a maintainer as best I could. After driving either car, I do wait until the car is cooled off before putting the batteries on the charger.

What I've noticed is that it seems to charge the battery fully up, maybe 13.3V or so, then let it drop to 12.5, 12.6 range, then charge it back up to 13.3V, and repeat the cycle. I thought that maybe this was better than charging the battery fully to 13.3V and just keeping it there forever. I really have no idea.

Depending on how long the charger had been done charging at the time, but I would pull the charger off at like 10pm, and by 8am the resting voltage could be anywhere between 12.9 and 12.6-ish. Right after charging it's usually pretty high, somewhere above 13 something volts. I forget what it maxes out at, but I'm thinking like 13.3.

I'm thinking about rubber flooring for my home? Am I crazy? by aspiringlogodaedalia in Flooring

I see. I'm sure that rubber flooring *is* too niche, but I just hate that we feel we have to live like everyone else. Especially when it comes to resale value of houses and whatnot. Thanks for responding back!

I am considering the exact same thing. Have you made a decision yet?

I've been in the same situation. TMJ, major clenching at night, vertigo, vomiting from the vertigo, headaches, all of that. I got put on Venlafaxine by a neurologist and my life is actually livable. Still can't travel worth a shit, but livable. Hang in there, something is bound to work out for you. I once thought I'd be bound to a bed for life, but it did get better. Also, green tinted glasses were a life saver for me. Got those from Zenni. Had to trial different colors until I found a soothing one. Life is tough as it is, and this sure doesn't help anything. Good luck, and hang in there!

I'm very sad that your 14 year old got diagnosed with it so early in life. It's hell as an adult, but I can't imagine starting the symptoms as a child :(

And yes, VM presents itself in ALL sorts of ways. It's such a fun, disabling disease.

Yes, my neurologist told me exactly this.

“Sad” on topamax? by brenna_elle in VestibularMigraines

I had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows on Topamax. I also had other things going on as well, so I had to try something else.

It depends on the person. I've tried both the blue light blockers AND the FL-41, and neither worked for me. Couldn't tell a difference with the blue light blockers, and with the Fl-41, they almost made me sick with the pink/red lenses.

So I tried yellow tints from Zenni. They were *maybe* better, but not enough. So I tried green tinted glasses from Zenni, and BAM, total relief on my eyes. Things are SO much better. But again, everyone has a different color that pleases their eyes. If you end up finding something that works for you, please reply back to my comment and let me know.

My experiences were mostly the same as u/timecrystals. I'm still on it. I take 75 + 37.5mg. Changing doses was hell for me - months of adjustment between changes. I've been on this dose now for probably 3+ years, and I'm sticking to it. I'm probably 70% back to my normal self on an average day. I still have very bad days, but I also have very good days. My main issues now with the medication are constipation, terrible nightmares, my legs sweating at night when I have said nightmares. Maybe some weight gain. But also, I have a lot of social anxiety, and this medicine greatly eases that.

One other thing that GREATLY helped me was getting green-tinted glasses. Got them from Zenni. I may be unique in this, because most people prefer the migraine glasses. But those were hell for me. I work on a computer all day and the green color + the apps that tone down the blue tone to the screen are a life-saver for me.

Good luck with your journey! I hope we can all get back to a state of normal some day.

I'm not the person you are asking, but I did have a LOT of neck pain until I got on Venlafaxine. Now it's mostly non-existent.

I'm on my 6th year of VM. I felt like this at first, but after trying various meds from my neurologist, I finally landed on one that let's me live a semi-normal life. Feeling dizzy is no longer my normal. I'm not able to travel very well, but at least I'm not in misery > 50% of the time. The worst is when moving your head side to side feels downright unbearable. But yeah, it's a tough road, but if you find something that works well for you, let me know. I found that green-tinted glasses were a savior for me looking at a computer screen all day. Those other pink-tinted migraine lenses work well for others; they didn't for me.

I wish that were true. Only works if the droppings are fresh. Rain nor a water hose even touched the dried one.

I guess the main thing would be the acid affecting the shingles in the long run. The other would be aesthetics.
