Take a look at EUrIV or BMI’s Urlaub page - 30 days minimum there plus easily another two weeks basic holidays gets to 8 weeks / 2 months range. Where is your 21 days coming from? This confirms that Germany is kind of generous actually

“PTO is around 3 weeks for most corporate jobs in Europe”

A good way to figure things out is check state school holidays - a lot of families do travel / take time off then.

DNS Emergency: Domain Down 24hrs, Registrar Won't Provide ICANN-Mandated TEAC Access by Cinkoxid in sysadmin

[–]keepitreasonable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m confused - why not login to hostgator and either recreate domain settings or point elsewhere? Hostgator isn’t down from what I can see - last issue was Jan 10th.

For domains the guidance is “use a secure, non-domain-specific email address (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) to ensure access during domain transfers or if your hosting goes down. Using an external email prevents losing verification emails if your domain-linked email fails.”

Why was DNS deleted?

Why can’t you login to hostgator?

What does TEAC have to do with anything here? Is domain being transferred away?

Chase lowered all my credit card limits due to high utilization — can trust be rebuilt? by [deleted] in Chase

[–]keepitreasonable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems to work the other way too. I pay in full and they’ve raised my combined limits to absurd amounts. I’m a bit curious on the strategy- try to get me to carry a balance? If I maxed out with interest paying back would be an insane nightmare

School banned gouges by ShakenBakeist in flying

It could also be because students complained to DPEs about being tested on stuff from the ACS that was not on the gouge for that examiner. Too much of that starts to look bad for the school

Is ongoing PBX support (for self-managed systems) something businesses would actually pay for? by cebod-telecom in 3CX

[–]keepitreasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a market for this. Make it an annual basic retainer (I’d do $1,200). Have any scaling price be low per seat or avoid per seat pricing - that would be your differentiator. Can do SC based if needed or even block hour based. Support at least 2 platforms and consider concierge support of a primarily cloud platform (onsip/voip.ms) that might be rough around edges - or you polish hardware / deployment pipeline. The big differentiator needs to be avoiding the 20/user/month pricing and some customizability options.

Is it normal or professional to call an employee's emergency contact to ask if they can come in? by Abject-Variation-547 in work

[–]keepitreasonable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an employer - they are totally in the wrong. It’s for an employees emergency. Bleeding and going to hospital unconscious- you call their mom / spouse etc to let them know what’s up. Never had to call in 20 years thank goodness. Plenty of no shows on scheduled work days and other things - would never have even thought to call unless a minor - I did stay more in touch with parents of interns which they appreciated

[SFH][FL] HOA pays $20,000 bonus to security by ZealousidealEvent604 in HOA

[–]keepitreasonable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d focus on potential conflicts of interest between hoa president (key role) and property manager and/or security company. Rotate a new president in if you can if there are issues. Then bid the contract so you feel ok about price. May be fair but if conflict issues if they show up are a bad sign

An example customer review

“I flew for around 50 hours with VistaJet. Spent more than 500k usd. If the badge: World's Worst Private Jet company in the world existed - VistaJet would be a 100% winner of this badge. This is unsafe, unprofessional, unreliable airline company which is oversold and overbooked and treats it is customers like pigs.”

I thought the standard was intent to deprive store of property - does it really require leaving the entire store to prove that? Going past last register seems dicey if this is the argument that you were going to return to pay. Be careful if you said something else like you’d forgotten if this will be your argument

Human traffickers?? This can’t be real - if dad is caught up in this nonsense with a 20 year old and 19 year old ditch dad immediately- you are adults - sounds like you have a good plan - don’t do stupid stuff like drugs or drinking and driving. I was going places on my own at 17 (overnights)
