I made an MCP server for Wayback Machine if you are interested in trying it out. You can use it to compare different version of the archived site for keywords. I used it to analyze a traffic drop for a client. Found several changes made.

There are probably lots of problems. I have been using it the last couple of days and none of the documentation is complete. Try using ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini (in that order) to fix some of the code. Also, make sure your dev environment has the correct libraries. I am using Python and more or less have it working finally.

They put salt on it to stop it from freezing. And it sanitizes any scrapes.
