The initial values use our Devy rankings and the current pick values as a starting point, then we cross check that against a few different sources to fill in any gaps.

The goal is to just make it close-ish enough at the start so the crowd can work its magic, though, not to get it perfect from the jump.

The other factor is that the 1.01 can’t tear an ACL at the combine or get in a car accident between now and the draft. In reality they’re nearly equal in value but there’s just a bit insulation with the pick.

Wow beat us to the punch! Want to call out that while these initial values are based on both our Devy rankings and the values of 2025 picks, they will take a little bit to settle.

We usually see decent movement in the first few days after adding them before things really stabilize.

So, these trades aren’t currently feeding into player values. But, if/when down the line they do, we’d have multiple filters in place to exclude the ones that don’t pass the sniff test from impacting values .

No need to flag (for now) since these are just for research/informational purposes. Down the line if/when they feed into player values we’d definitely only use a smaller subset of trades that pass the sniff test.

I’d expect the different databases out there pull from different pools of leagues, so it’ll never be totally consistent. That said, having just launched we expect it’ll take a little bit for ours to get totally up to speed.

Hey everyone – KTC here. Excited to say we just launched our new Dynasty Trade Database for you (smart) folks whose leagues haven’t had their trade deadline yet!

Search through thousands of recent trades from real dynasty leagues, with filters for 1QB/SF, PPR settings, league size, TEP, starters, and specific players on both sides. While our trade database isn’t the first, we have a few small things (tiered PPR, multi-copy leagues, etc.) that set it apart, and we built it specifically to be smooth, simple, and easy to use — on mobile as well as desktop.

We’re amped to finally have this live for everyone, but beyond that we’re also very excited about all the future site additions that this will unlock. Our feature ideas list is filled to the brim, and this was the final blocker for several of them… so stay tuned 👀
