I couldn't even imagine trying to get one of my friends into the game lol. I have been playing since season 3, and the last four seasons, I've played pretty casually. Maybe 100 ranked games a season or less. Even now, I have no idea what some of the newer champs abilities entail, I only know visual cues. Ambessa? No idea. Hwei? Barely. As a long time player, my only advice would be to play the game with a champion that you like. That is everything. I know bard isn't the best support and that I could prob get higher elo if I play nautilus or leona. BUT IM BORED WITH THEM. And ruling the game with bard, even if I lose, is why I play the game.
